Bowen IMO intentionally kicked Stoudamire in the achilles tendon in gm 2. You can view this on youtube.com. Stoudamire told Bowen to stop this rough play and that somebody would get hurt.....then minutes later Stoudamire was kicked in the achilles tendon by Bowen. If you have never ruptured your achilles tendon then you don't understand....I have had mine ruptured....it takes 1 1/2 years to reahab it....you are never the same( jumping, running etc...) I had had mine ruptured 7 yrs ago and I didn't have surgery ( a fool) but I cannot run or jump anymore. My days of free lancing on the sand volleyball courts are done. It was a dirty play by a dirty player and Stoudamire stated this at the press confreence today. Stated by all doctors etc...It is the most painful injury to ever suffered (I agree)...Look at the video and you will see it was soooooooo dirty. Bowen will never have my respect again. How do you contain this? Fine his ass $300, 000 (Time to cut into the pocketbook)and a few games suspension now...Not after the series but now....this will cut down on the flagrant fouls and such...someone is going to get hurt. Don't do the $1,000 fine which is like a loaf of bread to all of us.

amare is a lil b!tch tho. just play. i hate NBA complainers. you never hear complaints from mcgrady , kobe, iverson, or james regarding Bowen.

only b!tch ass players like francis, allen, and vince carter and now amare.

i find it funny that amare is on the same team as bipolar boy (bell) and there are clear photos of Bell using those patenteed elbows as wants to thwart them out. oh don't get me started on matt harpring as well.

all good defenders are somewhat dirty.

I guess you just dont understand the severtiy to an achilles tendon. I agree play hard and throw an elbow in someones mouth if needed but to an achilles tendon is atrocious. This could be a career ending injury. It is soooooo painful, the most painful of all injuries. As for Admare being alittle bitch......I didn't hear you say nothing when your floppin Ginobli falls on the floor and gets up crying.....Throw an elbow, fine...but don't go after a possible career ending injury.

everyone complains in the nba about calls EVERYONE!... why do the spurs have to be singled out.

saying things in press conferences and the media is a different thing. just a straight up b!tch move by amare. win a ring then you can talk black jesus.

Really doesn't look that bad to me, not malicious imo either.

I am completely unbiased here, as I could care less a/b either team and had no $$ on the game. It is clear to me that Bowen tried to make contact with Stoudemire's lower leg. The contact did not occur in the flow of the game. He clearly stuck his leg in there, not sure why. It is not clear if there was malicious intent, but he should be fined imo.

I agree, also have no bias either way. But how can anyone say after looking at the video that it wasn't intentional or malicious. It looked to me like he was approaching him knowing exactly what he was about to do. Bowen didn't even jump or put his hands up. His left fool was planted to the floor while his right did the dirty deed. In my opinion that was worse than taking someone out on a fast break. That kind of stuff just gets me worked up. If I'm the suns I don't know how I keep myself from getting him back in this next game.

If it was a single incident, I would give Bowen the benefit of the doubt, like maybe he was heated and not himself that game, because it is clear to anyone unbiased that he had intent to go after his leg. But learning that he has a history of this kinda shit is just unacceptable.

A spurs fan calling another player a bitch is a BIT of a stretch. Ginobili is known AROUND THE WORLD as the biggest faker in the game. I dont know how spurs fans justify it, but they love him, everyone else thinks his bitch flops are a disgrace. It used to be said when you flopped you were doing a "vlade" now it is known as a"ginobili". And then parker who is the BIGGEST bitch on this team. I love the image from game 1. Nash with his nose cracked in half gushing blood leaning over to a sprawling parker who had a bump on his forehead. The sad thing with the spurs is, you dont know if parker was acting, or if nash is just that much more of a man than parker.

Enough spurs hating for now, but I really think the leauge should suspend bowen. To intentionally try to injure a player is such a bitch move it is ridiculous. I wish they would put in a Pat Burke and have him kick Bowen right in the knee cap, so that Bowen could experience what it is like for someone to play dirty back. Elbows are one thing, trying to injure a player is completely different.

.

2006-2007 season flop stats:

#2 Devin Harris 77 flops/ofouls drawn (most of his are extremely fake)

#4 rank: raja bell 72 flops/o-fouls drawn (most of them are BS)

#13 Derek Fisher 45 flops/offensive fouls drawn.

............

#31 Ginobili 31 flops/offensive fouls drawn

I think Bowen is dirty. However, I don't think he was aiming for the Achilles. He was probably trying to halt his jump by catching his leg. Which I guess could be called dirty.

I gurantee he wouldnt be trying that crap with Artest or Wallace. Someone is going to knock him out eventually.

I agree he may not have been going for the achilles of trying to injure, but come on who really does that. That's not defense. The fact that he even had the reaction during the flow of the game to do something like that shows that he is a sneeky dirty player. I mean why didn't he at least jump and foul him from behind. If you want to halt a guy from jumping wrap him up with your arms.

i will give you harris are extremely fake, as are ben wallaces, but judging how many time a guy flops or even how he is percieved by how many offensive charges really doesnt prove anything. Ask anyone if you say actor or flop and i bet 8 out of 10 will say ginobili

Spoken like a true homer. Look i appreciate good defense probably more than most but he is a dirty defensive player and i have said this for years. Would i want him on my team sure but he is dirty. Not all defensive players are dirty. Bell isnt dirty. Kobe gets shut down by bell so Kobe turns dirty which makes Bell play dirty.

Skeeter i thought i was the only one that notice this about Ginobli's flopping. He makes Divac flops look real.

Im sure we all just hate the city of san antonio thats why we single them out? It could be that ginobili has been the biggest actor in the league for years. You are right, everyone in the league complains about calls, but the spurs complain and are in disbelief about EVERY call. Your offensive foul #'s dont take into account everytime ginobili flies through the lane untouched but throws his arms and legs wildly in desperation to draw a foul.
But this isn't about giinobli or the spurs, niether of which i think is a dirty. It is about Bowen who has proved time and time again from multiple all star sources, that he is one of the dirtiest players in the game. Throwing an elbow is playing hard, throwing an elbow in an attempt to break someones ribs is dirty. Bowen is just a dirty peice of shit and shouldn't be in the league if he is out there trying to injure other players, which multiple players have accused him of.

I am glad the NBA didn't do anything about it this time, because I think it wouldn't be best for the series. I really hope both teams come out fired up at each other and we see one hell of a series from here on in. But come regular season if he is caught doing this again, like i think he will be, the league should suspend him severely.

I don't like the city of San Antonio, and I live there. My boys and I have gotten to watch and go to alot of Spurs games since we moved there, and I do watch the games objectively. So objectively speaking, Bowen is the type of player that causes injuries. His patented slide under a jumpshooter move is an excellent way to cause a rolled ankle. Is this dirty or just physical play? As a former player, I think it is dirty. If you can't defend someone without cutting their legs out from under them, you aren't a great defender in my book. Like I said before, I am apathetic as to whether the Spurs win or not. I guess it would be nice to see a team win a championship while living there. Fortunately, we will be getting out of this crime-ridden dump soon.:sadwave:
