Season: 54-51-4 (-16.43 units)

1. INDEPENDENCE BOWL (12/28):
Alabama (+2-1/2) over Oklahoma State (1 unit)

I have no doubts. The players love Kines and interim coaches kick ass in bowl games.

2. ECU/USF over 43 (1 unit)
3. SJSU/UNM over 49 (1 unit)
4. FSU/UCLA over 40-1/2 (1 unit)
5. KSU/RUT over 44-1/2 (1 unit)
6. VT/GA over 38 (1 unit)

Chick-Fil-A Bowl:

True freshman QB Matt Stafford is showing improvement for UGA. The Bulldogs won their last 2 games by protecting the ball.

For VT, Brandon Ore is a premier back. QB Sean Glennon is cutting down on his mistakes and taking better advantage of a deep wide receiver corps. I see Glennon throwing for over 200 yards and a score and Ore rushing for over 80 yards and a score.

It also should be noted that both Georgia and Virginia Tech average more than 24.5 ppg. Their defense and special teams units are more than capable of scoring also. I think the 38 point total is too low.

Also:

8. FIESTA BOWL (1/1):
Oklahoma (-7-1/2) over Boise State (1 unit)

OU will win and cover this game. They're taking this very seriously after losing their last 2 BCS games. The Sooners are bigger and faster at every position. The only thing going for Boise is they are a very well-coached team who doesn't beat themselves. They are +9 in turnover margin to OU's 0. So, the Sooners need to protect the ball here and not revert back to their fumbling ways like they have in a few games this season. I still think the 7.5 number is very generous and people need to be jumping on OU minus the points if they know what's best for them, while it lasts.

9. TCU/NIU under 46-1/2 (2 units)

NIU passing game absolutely sucks. TCU D will have no problem shutting Wolfe down. I think this game goes under bigtime. TCU wins 28-7.

Got one for Thursday night's Las Vegas Bowl.

10. BYU (-3) (-105) over Oregon (2 units)

BYU is as underrated as it gets. This season the Cougars beat Tulsa by 25 points (nobody else did that); they beat TCU on the road by 14 points (nobody has done that in the last 5+ years); and they won all their games by an average of 26.7 points this season. Oregon comes into this game with a -14 turnover margin.

3-0 (+5.00 units) Bowl Season

11. Tulsa (+1-1/2) (-115) over Utah (2 units)

Golden Hurricane are never out of a game. Utah QB in a bit of off the field trouble and the distraction cannot be anything but bad in this QB-driven offense. MWC has looked spectacular thus far, but I really like Tulsa's chances for a comfortable win.

Previous picks for 12/23:

ECU/USF over 43 (1 unit)
SJSU/UNM over 49 (1 unit)

12. HAWAII (-7) over Arizona State (1 unit)

I like Hawaii in this game. I would like them even if this were being played on a neutral field. But hosting their own bowl game? Forget it! The Warriors cover easy.

We've all seen the effenct of the Island on teams that visit. It is tough enough to come there during the regular season, but with a more relaxed and festive environment like a bowl game, some players are bound to lose focus.

It is for this very reason, combined with Hawaii's past performances, that I like the Warriors in this game.

Hawaii wins this one by at least 14 points, maybe more. I can envision a 21-7 type first half with a 42-28 type of finish.

13. Middle Tennessee (+8) over Central Michigan (2 units)

Central Michigan's Head Coach and Assistant Coaches have bolted for Cincy. So, I wouldn't expect the team/players to be too keen on coaches that are splitting time between Cincinnati and CMU.

I've got this game even already, maybe CMU slight edge for home type field game. But, take those points away for the coaching situation and the points look like the best bet for this game.

16. Notre Dame (+8) over LSU (2 units)

I think you have 18 starting seniors for the Irish who are hungry to leave ND with a W. I think Ol' Charlie will have something up his sleeve and like we saw in the Fiesta Bowl, they'll find SOME way to keep it together. It pains me to say this - I hate everything about Notre Dame - but I think they keep it close and cover the 8 dance2

17. Ohio/Southern Miss UNDER 41-1/2 points (4 units)

Look for Southern Miss to try and control the game with a heavy dose of running back Fletcher, who ran for around 1300 yards this year as a true frosh.

Weather is supposed to be rainy for Sunday's game, which could make scoring tough on both teams.

If OU gets behind they are toast, probably have the worst passing game of any bowl team, even Navy.

Under is the play for me.

It has been a disappointing college regular and bowl season as overall, I am in the red. Not horribly bad, but still negative. Thankfully, the NFL season has been a different story. That being said, I really like this championship matchup and it will be my 2nd-largest bowl play this season behind the GMAC under.

18. Florida (+7-1/2) (-115) over Ohio State (3 units)

Florida 24
Ohio State 21

Good luck.
