Final Regular Season Stats: 37 - 48 - 2 (-19.60 units)

1. Cincinnati (-11) over Southern Mississippi (1 unit)

The Papa John's.com Bowl in Birmingham is a mismatch.

The Bearcats have beaten USF, Oregon State, UConn, and Rutgers.

USM has no wins against Top 50 teams. Their best win was over East Carolina. The Golden Eagles lost earlier this season to Rice.

2. Kansas (+3-1/2) over Virginia Tech (3 units)

In this Orange Bowl, we are reminded that the ACC was not a very strong conference this season.

Virginia Tech has given up 27 ppg in its last 5 bowl games. Also, the Hokies are 2-3 straight up in their last 5 games!

Kansas is averaging almost 500 yards per game on offense.

VT doesn't own the offensive weapons like Missouri did. The Jayhawks will be ready to prove they do belong in a BCS game after all.

3. Florida Atlantic (-2-1/2) over Memphis (1 unit)

FAU upset Troy in their season finale to claim the Sun Belt Conference title and the school's first bowl appearance for this New Orleans Bowl.

Memphis lost to a pair of Sun Belt schools earlier this season. The Tigers' defense is also a concern. UM held only 1 opponent under 21 points this season.

The Owls averaged 36 points per game in the SECOND HALF of games this season.

FAU is gonna roll. Memphis doesn't have the defense to stop Howard's bunch.

Agree with the Cincy play... I donno about the Memphis/FAU game... I see the over as more of a lock... That game could go either way, but my lean was towards FAU

The Eagles have won 7 straight bowl games. This BC senior class is the winningest in school history at 38-12.

How will WV respond after losing at home as a 28-1/2 point favorite to archrival Pitt and blowing a shot at the national championship? Pat White dislocated his right thumb in that game.

OU closed out the season with a resounding 38-17 win over #1 Missouri. The Sooners played in the Fiesta Bowl last season. This is Oklahoma's 5th BCS bowl bid in its last 6 seasons. OU is 18-2-1 against current Big East teams.

6. Utah (-8) over Navy (3 units)

The Poinsettia Bowl kicks off the bowl season Thursday night in San Diego. The Utes have the top scoring offense in the Mountain West and have won their past 6 bowl games.

Navy head coach Paul Johnson left to take the GT job.

Utah's defense ranks third in the nation in points allowed at 15.6 ppg.

7. Texas (-2-1/2) over Arizona State (1 unit)
8. TEX/ASU OVER 62 (1 unit)

Longhorns need to find ways to get Jamaal Charles as a constant threat with the ball. Runs, screens, and special teams. If he touches the ball 25 times in this one, Texas will win. The Holiday Bowl in perfect weather conditions in San Diego is usually a high scoring affair.

9. Connecticut ML (+105) over Wake Forest (1 unit)

The Huskies lost 3 games, all of which to teams that are in bowl games. On defense, UConn only gave up more than 20 points twice the entire season and their pass defense is 15th in the country.

10. USC (-13-1/2) over Illinois (1 unit)

USC ranks 6th nationally in pass-efficiency defense. The Trojans outscored its opponents this season by an average of 15 ppg.

11. GA/HAW Under 68 (1 unit)
12. Georgia (-7-1/2) over Hawaii (1 unit)

The biggest thing for the Bulldogs is going to be pressuring Colt Brennan into some bad throws. UGA has 22 sacks in its last 5 games and led the SEC with 34. Georgia's best offense is redshirt freshman RB Knowshon Moreno, who has rushed for 1,335 yards.

13. Kansas ML (+140) over Virginia Tech (1 unit)

14. Ohio State ML (+155) over LSU (1 unit)

It's going to be a great game. 2 great defenses having at it. This one will ultimately be decided up front.

15. Colorado/Alabama Under 51-1/2 (1 unit)

John Parker Wilson has 1 TD and 5 INT in Bama's 3-game losing streak.

The Tide defensive front will generate more than its share of pressure in the backfield.

The Alabama D should keep the Buffs from consistently stringing together long scoring drives.

Bowl Record so far: 8-6 (+1.70 units)

16. Ohio State (+3-1/2) (-105) over LSU (1 unit)

This game will be won in the trenches, so I expect the Buckeyes' defense and offensive line to come up big and give OSU their second National Championship in the last 6 years.
