Hope I have a better Bowl Season than I had in College Foots as a whole...........things to remember when you cap these games are:

1. Location...........how many external factors might effect a team that has played a long season and now just wants to have a little fun, or what forms of entertainment are available to the players. Also weather can play a factor! (Ie: Miami going to Boise????......I was actually shocked they accepted a bid to play on the Smurph Turf, If it snows there will be a decided advantage for Nevada Wolfpack)...Hawaii comes to play in front of their home crowds.......ASU might be looking foward to the MAi TAIs and not the game.

2. Coachs- Watch out for the Lame Duck Coaches and Coachs that want to pad the resume for future positions in the off-season. Also, take a look how well these coachs have performed in their past bowl attempts to give you a little insight as to their overall preparation for the game. Some just want to reward their players with a vacation, and this will rub off on the players.

3. Always beneficial to look at mid-majors that are given the chance to up-end a major program on national television. Bowl games represent a chance for some of these programs to show prospective recruits what they have to look forward to and why they should pick their program. Many of the upper Div 1 teams simply don't care as much!

4. Dissapointment! Every year we see teams that should throttle their opponent on paper, but fail to show up for the game as they are harboring thoughts of what "coulda" been. Even the best motivator coachs are fighting an uphill battle when a team feels it has been slighted.......

With that said, my plays thus far are:

1. Hawaii -8 (5 units)....WINNA........ASU may be in for a long day.....and the fact that many of these kids will not be with family on Christmas and Rainbow Warriors should win this by double digits!

2. Nevada (+3) (5 units)......I'm hoping to get more points in this one and will definately play the ML when that happens. I will be praying for snow too!

3. BYU -5 (5 units)....Winna........again, I don't see a lot of motivation for this Duck squad, and being in Vegas makes it that much more doubtful.

4. South Florida -3 (5 units)....WINNA.....I made the mistake of calling this program a "solid" team, early in the season when the Rutgers-Pitt debate was going on..... one of the members here informed me that wasn't the case, "South FLorida is certainly not solid"......but the Bulls did manage an 8-4 season, upending W. Virginia and Pitt along the way.......so I will stick with my thoughts and call them solid!

5. Rutgers -7 (5 units)...WINNA........I expect this team to roll Wildcats.........and to put an exclamation point on their season

6. Missouri +3' (7 units)..WINNA.....I truly believe that the Tigers will win this game and feel the wrong team is favored.

7. Boise St +8 (5 units).......kudos to Stoops and Sooners for accomplishing a great season without Peterson, but Boise St. loves to play up and relishes the roll of the underdog...Zabransky and Co. will give Sooners all they can handle! Sooners will get their best effort here.

Good Luck!

Poinsetta Bowl:

Poinsetta Bowl:

I hate the idea of betting on a bowl called the "Poinsetta" Bowl......but I like the first half under here as two good defenses square-off. Both team like to feature their running games, and this will be the challenge for the defenses! *Surprisingly, TCU will throw the ball.....roughly 50% of the time, and this might be a problem for Huskies secondary.

With 2nd tier QB Nicholson being called in to face a stingy Horn-Frog "D" I have to think game plan will be to feature RB WOLFE, who when healthy is a top back in the nation.

Going with 1st Half under 23.5 for 3 units..WINNA....will see if anything presents itself at half:sadwave:

Irish- thanks for the well wishes........UCLA took a chunk of my College FB bankroll.......I hope to atone for that this Bowl Season....Good Luck to everyone!

Adding:

Adding:

GOing to put 3 more units...WINNA on Cougars tom evening as I have little confidence in this Duck squad showing up for this game........I'm surprised it is down to -3, but will bite and hope for the best! If for some reason Ducks do show up this evening the over may warrant a play, but will wait until halftime to make that decision! Good Luck!

*BYU is one of my higher rated bowl games this season. I have played for Belotti and Aliotti and I'm sure they have been having a hell of a time in Vegas.......as well as their players.

ADD:

ADD:

Vegas Bowl: 2nd Half

OVER 28
: WINNA Both teams looked very rusty in the first half........but BYU looked to have picked up the tempo and Cougs appear 1/2 step faster on both sides of ball.

I think this is as good as it gets for 2nd half wagers.............and feel this is a strong extra Christmas $$, hope so cause I could use some extra C....my fear here is will Ducks mail it in?? Oh well.......if they do my original wager is safe!

10 units:SIB

Well I guess I shouldn't be surprised......Bellotti still can't motivate to save his ass.....whole team is anemic. Embarrassing for PAC 10........I thought Oregon would score a couple of TDS in the second half, but this team failed to show up at all......Perhaps BYU will break a couple of long ones.......

Show me the money.....................:SIB Only bright spot to Oregon performance was going for and making that 2 point conversion that ultimately put the over through......still pathetic Duck showing!!

Good calls, Belotti coached a pathetic game. If this guy is his QB next year I'm putting my life savings against them in the first couple of games. FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDEEEE!

Baltry.......that played out as I had anticipated and is another reason to at some of the smaller mid-majors with chips on their shoulders....playing teams with too many outside influences (by the nature of their environs....ie: Vegas was too much outside interference for Ducks with a Coach that has a hard time making the curfew themselves........always spells out disaster. I know there will be those that say these coaches have something to prove, but what is most often the case........it is a vacation for the two schools......and only one has the winning intention......should be interesting as these spots become easily to recognize....Good Luck!

NEW ORLEANS BOWL:

I don't see any way Clement can be expected to be much of a factor this evening, as I have suffered the same injury before, and collarbones typically take a couple of months to heal 100%.....the kid is a gamer, but as a QB the shoulder injury will throw off his passes and most definately take some zip off. This may affect his confidence if he does get the start. This doesn't bode well for Owls attack! Troys strenght is their defense and I expect them to give the Owls fits. Going to go with a first half play:

UNDER 27 (+100)... :com: ...3 units for 1st Half

TROY +4.5 ..WINNA.....3 units for game

Good luck!

Playing the 2nd half under 27 (4 units)... WINNA..Troy should win this game, and my hunch about the QB not being recovered enough was right on........wish I played more on it!

South Florida bet is looking good..

Going with UNDER 21 (3 units).. WINNA..2nd Half....:SIB

Hawaii/ASU under 72.5 in the Hawaii Bowl tom. (3 units)...WINNA.....I realize Hawaii features a high flying offense, but I don't have a lot of confidence in ASU to put a lot of points on the board.

Still working out some number for this afternoon games...hopefully something will present itself!

Good Luck and Merry Christmas!

OVER 23.5 (5 units)...:com: ..:SIB 2nd Half

God that was frustrating.......New Mexico couldn't hold on to the ball and when the San Jose St pick 6 got called back the total was done.....oh well, onward and upward.

*Too many big plays didn't convert into points...Think we see alot of points in second half!

Good luck!

Played :

1st Half Team Total UTAH over 12.5 (4 units)....:com: OUCH...3 fg???

I think this game probably goes over as both offenses are pretty good! I look at what BYU did the other night, and think Utahs offense should have some success....GL

Over 33 (3 units)...WINNA.....not in love with this wager as both defenses playing extremely well, but have to think something gottas give...........Kudos to ASU for showing up in this game, I actually didn't give them much of a chance.......I have under the total for the game so will try to middle this for some profit............think my Hawaii wager is going down with the ship....but can't justify either side, so going to ride it out! There will be better 2nd half wagers this bowl season!

Good Luck..............and Merry X-Mas

Adding:

3 more unit to the First Half Under 26 in the Motor City BowL: :com: Have to think there is a realistic shot at both teams coming out a bit sluggish after Christmas Meal................

One PROP Play..................B. Williams OVER 3 REC. *Teams leading receiver should have a few thrown his way......just hope he catches them!

OVER 3 (2 units) (-135) PUSH
Good Luck to All...........
