2004 NCAA Regular Season: 55-49 (+3.58*)
2003 NCAA Regular Season: 53-43 (+5.35*)
2003 NCAA Bowls: 7-7 (-0.42*)
STARTERS:
(1) College Bowl games are the ONLY time in my football capping in which I sort of START from a premise of trying to identify dogs with value before going on to other plays. At any other time of the year, from the first college game through the Super Bowl, I don't generally flinch if an 11' point divisional road favorite dressed in polyester jumps off the page as the most attractive play on the board - for the third week running.
(2) Last year's disappointing 7-7 Bowl season was at least partly - and I believe primarily - attributable to a wonderful trip to California from 12/20-12/28 in which capping was barely a blip on my radar, including the hectic days just before and just after the trip. My 9-4 Bowl record from the prior season (and my first full season posting college plays at Madjacks) is much more in line with my expectations for this season.
(3) I have a full season invested to this point in personnel, matchups, storylines, coaches, injuries, momentum, conferences - the whole nine yards - and there is no time like the present to put the info and angles at hand to use, before it's back to starting from scratch next season. MONEY MANAGEMENT is my wagering strength 24/7/365 across all sports, and my instincts have been telling me for weeks that there is absolutely no good reason not to bump my standard play to 1.50* throughout the Bowl season.
(4) I'll keep a tally of all my plays in this thread, but individual plays (including write-ups, newspaper links and the like) will be posted in seperate threads for each game and/or each day.
