I've paid enough attention through the season to believe the time is right to put forth an effort to cap nearly every Bowl game, and trust my stuff enough to pull the trigger more often than usual in the Bowl season.

Ohio(-1) over Utah State (1*)
- - This Ohio team has the offense to complement their defense, but my key is whether HC Solich succeeds or fails in getting his squad ready to roll. (Ohio (9-4) is appearing in a bowl for a third straight year for the first time in school history but has yet to win one. The Bobcats' 0-5 mark in postseason play includes three defeats under Frank Solich, who took over as coach in 2005.)

California(+4)(-113) over Texas (1.5*)
- - Distilled from elsewhere . . . A physical and talented Cal team without a (true) home game all year has gotten better and stronger to close the year . . . Texas started the year 4-0 and climbed to #11 in the polls before going the other direction, getting banged up in the process, trying to get by with screen passes and regressing QB play . . . Cal can play with a lot of ups and downs from week to week and in stretches, but they have explosive talent when their fuse is lit, and HC Tedford has a 5-2 SU Bowl record . . . After Mack Brown's public pleading to the pollsters in 2004 to vote them ahead of other "less deserving teams" cost a 10-1 Cal team their first Rose Bowl berth in 45 years, the sentiment throughout the athletic department in Berkeley isn't whether you hate Texas, but how much you hate Texas . . . Cal is looking to close the deal on their best recruiting haul ever, and this game looks to be a launch point for a new generation of Cal football . . . And I believe so far the ATS winners in the Bowl games are also about 8-2 SU, so a little on the +155 ML is also in order.

gl with all your plays, esp. Oregon. Lotta people think Whisky can pound right at O def and take speed outta the equation. I think Ducks have too many weapons offensively. We'll see.

- - Essentially now standing with a 1* wager on Washington(+10)(-123) . . . Sarkisian with weapons enough gets the nod in preparing for a big Bowl game against the Heisman winner, but an opponent that won't "go all Stanford" on them physically.

2011-2012 Bowls YTD: 9-11 (-3.47*)

Very much been a Bowl season with lots of games that have come down to the final possession and/or moments, ATS and/or SU. After feeling every close finish went against me early on, I've finally caught the right side of the last few dramatic finishes . . . I would be 10-10 and almost exactly (+0.00*) if my only Top Play of Cal(+4)(1.5*) over Texas had not been the wrong side of that affair. Was certainly expecting better.

Clemson(-3)(-120) over West Virginia (1*)

LSU(+3)(-130) over Alabama (1*)
- - Here we go . . . LSU it is.

- - I've been perfect with my wagers in the last 6 Super Bowls and the last 5 BCS championships, including a couple of instances involving multiple wagers (i.e., pointspread/ML/totals/teasers), and including wagers larger than my customary 1*. So, my best stuff has come with the pressure to finish strong, and it was not a Kiss of Death for last season when I posted the fact of 5 and 4 game streaks at the start of the season, and then miraculously pushed with Oregon(+3), and hit with Green Bay(-3) and (Ov44).
