Bowl Season

Glad the reg season is over. A dismal year. Got off to a horrible start, so I should be happy to have fought back from the depths. On to bowl season. To be honest, historically I've done worse in Bowls than reg season, which doesn't bode well for this year. That minor detail certainly won't stop me from picking bowl games, though.

USC >63- Think USC romps 'em, but holding off on a USC bet in case they have Oregeron hangover. Regardless, Fresno gives up points like a cheap hooker, and FSU QB Carr will put up points as well.

Buff +1- Ah, Boise in December. SDS can't be too fired up about this since they go there every other year anyway. Like Buff running game to be the difference here.

ECU >62 ECU can't get there by themselves, but they'll be close. Just need a bit of help from Tettleton and co.

Pitt +7 Anti-MAC play. Plus, BG bowl game wsa a few weeks back NIU.

NIU +1 After Buff, and seeing OU I swore off MAC teams, but i think NIU comes in with a purpose vs Utah St. A bit worried about the grass field, but I'll bite. Wouldn't be surprise to see an Aggie W, but at least one MAC team will win a bowl game. (I just hope it's this one and not the Pizza Bowl).

Mary +3 OK, from here on out i'm even going against teams that used to be in the MAC. Actually I like Maryland. Since getting their injured guys back they've played well.

Minny -3- I'm probably wrong as usual, but I think B10 may surprise some folks this bowl season. Like Minny here because the way they played all season I'd be surprised if they're not looking forward to playing this one. Respect 'Cuse effort this year as well, but don't think their O is as good.

Rutgers +15 Rutgers got thumped by every good team they played. ND didn't thump anyone. I should stay away from this, but just a feeling that ND comes out flat and knights stay within 2 TDs.

Cincy +3 Should be a good matchup. i'll take the pts.

L'ville -5 Worried about letdown after playing in BCS bowl LY, but I think Brdgewater goes out with a bang in his home state vs home town team.

Mich >55 Neither D is all that good. Mich QB Morris may give Wolves more diversity in the O since i think he's a better passer than Gardner.

VT +7- VT has been bland all season. UCLA looks like NC's one minute and average the next. Here again, i'll grab the pts.

Miss St. -7- Like Rice, but think they'll be out-muscled today, especially on grass to negate whatever speed/quickness advantage they may have in the interior.

Tex A&M ov75- That's a ton of points, but I'll try it. O/U on total punts is 2.5.

So far, 10-14-1. got lucky yesterday. I posted Iowa +7 and by the time i called my local it was at 8. Could have used the W here to help the record, but at least it cashed in the real world.

'Bama -17 I just don't see Okie scoring unless Tide gives them a gift turnover. i love big dogs (as evidenced by my picks of CFU, and Rutgers), but i can't justify a try on Okie.
