Ok, this was put up this morning.. and I think it will be easy.

FSU -8 4240-4000

I actually only played half so far, but will post that because I am def playing at least that amount. If the spread changes when I play the other half - I will not that and grade it as such. I wanted to get the 4 up now, to show my strength of opinion in the pick.

Would you still play this at -10.5? I know I missed the boat on this line

Arky, great call :toast:

:toast:

Disappointing bowl season for me, after the great start. Totals gave me a little dent, and then there was that dreadful NYE. Honestly, those games were my least capped too. Sometimes, those do ok for me, but not that day. Oh well. As always, I learned from the mistakes I made, and hopefully get better because of it. The bowl season was still profitable (tonight will help too ;)), and there's always next year.

Onward...

I am STUNNED by the huge line move. Obviously anything can happen, but the reality is that the big money is pounding Florida St. The public is drooling over the huge SEC dog, and the huge ML odds. I can't even imagine the ML exposure the books have tonight... and they are making it even more tempting for peeps to lay a little to make a lot on the team of destiny. I fully expect most on here, and most I know to be on Auburn, but that isn't the reason I love this one. I posted my play as soon as the line came out. For me the reality is this...

FSU is that good.

Auburn is lucky to be here. Saban gifted that game. That play vs Georgia was nothing short of a miracle. Florida State just has a ridiculous, obscene amount of NFL talent on the field tonight. Auburn let up 42 to Missou, 38 to Georgia... I don't see how FSU doesn't get 40 tonight. FSU obliterated teams all year. Obviously they haven't faced a rushing attack like this, but with the time to prepare and the veterans they have on D, I think they will do just fine. All it will take is a couple stops, a couple typical 70 yard, 4 play TD drives and it will be 28-3 before you can blink, lol.

I don't care to argue about the game... people spend way too much time over analyzing these big games to me. I usually play too much on them, but that is the added excitement for me to the big game, where I otherwise, wouldn't care too much.

For all you fans, I wish you luck on "your" teams tonight... for all the gamblers, I only wish the Seminole backers luck tonight.

I am already on FSU at 8 and 8.5 as posted when the bowl lines first came out. I see 10.5s now. If I was still waiting to get in on the game with FSU, I would prob wait and hope to get at least 10, possibly 9.5. If not, I would ultimately play the 10.5, and probably also tease it down, or do some ML parlays.

I will be ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, STUNNED if Auburn wins tonight.

FSU -6 FH 2650-2500

GL and cheers to all

Auburn was up 20 against Georgia should have never come down to the miraculous play. Saban didn't give anything to auburn, if they kill the clock still a tie score and anyone's game going to OT. You have had a great year, but I don't think FSU wins this game by more than 7. Not sure how you decipher money driving line up isn't public money. To me, public sees an FSU team that has beaten everyone by DDs, and an auburn team lucky to be here. The fact Clemson looked good in the bowl game and Alabama did not makes the novice onlooker (Joe public) like FSU even more. Just my 2 cents.

57% out of over 3k entrants at covers like the DD dog... this is pretty rare. may happen 1-4 times all year. Message boards, office, twitter... it's definitely not too scientific. I do know that I haven't seen 1 FSu ML play, and I have seen about 75 Auburn ML plays. Again, not why I like the play, just pointing it out because with the line moving against this action - that is telling for me.

Here's the thread from December 7 with speculation about what the opening line would be, with much surprise by "the public" that Florida State opened as a 7' point favorite.

http://www.madjacksports.com/forum/showthread.php?539999-fla-st-vs-auburn

I would definitely agree that the line is not moving in the direction of the public on this one.

GL

This was the most shocking thread in the history of MJs for me. I knew right then, that Auburn would be the huge public dog.

Regarding your assertion that Fla. St. has an obscene amount of NFL talent, I heard an NFL scout on the radio say that 21 of their 22 starters will be drafted. BOL with your plays:toast:

Jord-

Thank you for posting. I have won quite a bit following you this bowl season. I appreciate the way you post your picks without being an attention whore or trying to inflate your record with sketchy math. BOL tonight and in the future. :0074
