I agree. There have been many questionable grounding calls in these bad bowl games.

I think I have lost 3 bets this year on the last garbage play of the game where the defensive team scores on the last play of the game. Really getting sick of this shit. That Army TD cost me big time.

I have had it with shit bowl games. I am betting them small but they really are mostly pathetic games. Will come back once we get some games with good football teams and just bet real money.

Yeah, I've split on the garbage TD's this year...I remember 2 in particular and won one and lost one.

I was gonna ask....did that Army TD push it Over? Did you have a 2nd half play? I never even looked at the original total but I'm pretty sure it had already gone Over before that TD.

I play teasers. I realize many do not like them but they work for me, especially in the NFL. I had SD St +3.5 to finish off a few large 3-team 10 point teasers, so the end of that game was a bitch for me. Not the end of the world, but to lose like that is tough to stomach.

I am thankful for the MAC conference though. Ohio screwed me, but the hits keep coming. Duke -5 is the last one on Tuesday.

Yeah that's brutal. I had a teaser going that game too...I've mentioned it but had SFlorida +4...survived that one and just needed SDSU to win and man...that was brutal in itself....watch the run!! lol

But to lose on that multi-lateral TD return....that's the worst kind of loss. The one I remember that I won..and maybe you lost on it...I think it was the Chiefs and a guy named Houston picked off the lateral and bulled his way in...that was awesome!! lol

I too had SD ST in 10 pt teaser... And I was on KC when they scored. But since KC, I've lost 4 times in a row on these last second lateral fumbles. Sadly, I didn't see any of them LIVE. I was either driving or left the room, changed the channel. [emoji849]

Sticking to my anti-MAC plays with Duke -5 tomorrow.

I will also parlay them with Utah-6 -120 and UCLA +7 -120. I think Utah has too much defense for West VA especially with Grier out. Also think they are more motivated. Taking a bit of a gamble that Rosen plays with UCLA.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!

West Va looks pathetic, I do not see them improving in the second half, so taking Utah -4. Usually do not like messing with a winning bet (Utah -6), but I just do not see West Va making any kind of comeback.

I've been working way too much the last few days but wanted to say thanks for Utah and Duke. I thought about taking UCLA but w Rosen out I didn't and regretted it early but K-State finally got it together.

I absolutely despise the "Bush Push" now being legal but they got it on 4th and Goal and it changed the game. I ended up doing a 3-team moneyline parlay w all the favorites in addition to Utah and Duke both straight and I had a really good day.

Look forward to your plays the rest of the way too.

Thanks TD, glad I can help. UCLA was a weak play, was hoping Rosen played. I only used them in a three team parlay and actually played K St in the second half, so was a good day as Duke was the big one.

Dog Day

Favorites yesterday, dogs today.

BC +3 -125/+125
TX +3 -110/+125
Purdue +3 -105/+135

I like these three today, so playing them separately and tying together a few ways.

Iowa is not a good bowl team. BC finished the year strong and will have a large fan base at this game. This should be a tight competitive game, but I like BC to win. Not as strong as the other two games.

Love Herman as a coach especially as a dog (9-1 ATS with 6 outright wins). Mizzu turned it on at the end of the season and won 5 in a row, but all against bad teams. Plus they lost some offensive coaches. Herman is focused on winning this game as the start to next year's season. It took the whole year to start turning this program around and I think he will have this team ready to play. I just hope his QB doesn't screw it up!

Simply think Purdue is the better team, especially defensively. Pac 10 is just not that strong and AZ plays no defense. Purdue will be the more motivated team. Rich Rod is a bad bowl coach (2-8 ATS), while Brohm is a good young coach who I expect used the layoff wisely and will have his team ready and focused on winning.

Thought about making it an all dog day, but I can not get myself to bet on this S Miss team. Seems most people think FL St will not be motivated to play and will not show. I am just not sure that is the case. If they come to play they will destroy this team. I am not willing to simply make the play based on the theory that they will not come to play, especially since the rest of the day looks good. I will likely wait to see if FL State shows up and then make and in-game and/or halftime bet. Most of these games have set up well for halftime bets based on the first half play.

Looks good. I agree that Florida St could kill this team...I have no idea their motivation but one thing that sticks out...if they win, they avoid a losing record...that could be motivation enough right there. Who wants to be a part of the one losing season....go 7-6 and its "just a down year".

But who knows. I think I'm gonna go small on Florida St and take the rest of your plays straight up.

Thanks again and good luck to us all!!

Thanks TD.

UVA +2 -120 - just want to note that I already played this game. Will have more on it later. I hate betting against Navy and rarely do so, but I think this is a bad match up for them. I expect UVA to be favored as the line moves.

Tempted to make a greed middle play at half with Az-3 but I am going to pass as I have a lot riding on this game as well as Texas. AZ will have to start throwing and I see a turnover or two.

UVA line is already moving. The stat that really got my attention for this game is that Bronco Mendenhall is 9-1 ATS against the option as a head coach including a win over GT this year. This is a stat that is hard to ignore, especially since they have had a month to prepare, which also is important with a young QB. I am a big fan of Navy football and still try to go to at least one game a year. I also love betting on them, so this is a tough one for me, but I have to go with my gut. I expect this to be a good game and there will be a great crowd for both teams. Navy will stay in this game but I think UVA gets a few key stops which is all it takes sometimes to beat Navy. By no means a big play but one that looks good enough on paper for a few bucks.

Will have rest of tomorrow in the a.m. as the results tonight will greatly affect my plays.

Had to sweat that Purdue game out, but ends up being a very good day as the two bigger games hit and win outright. Finally getting on a little bit of a roll. Need some sleep!

Hard to complain but man...I wish BC doesn't fumble there...at least a punt and might have OT or even just a longer drive that ends in a FG for Iowa and we get the push. I had them on a 4-team parlay as well as a 3-team moneyline parlay...had a great day but it would have been huge!

Oh well....like I say, great day and appreciate the picks! Watched some here and there but was hanging out w a friend all night ;)

Looking forward to tomorrow already....which is actually today already!! Gonna go ahead and get Virginia...now a pick...and go to sleep and wake up ready to make some more money. Good job Bason!! See ya in the am!!

Working on Mendenhall track record vs the option now in more detail. That's a great stat you found...hoping to get a chance to look at today's futbol card...any thoughts on the Crystal Palace today???

Funny you should ask Sub! I am betting Palace today. They are +340 right now but will wait to see if it goes even higher as most people will be betting Arsenal. Plus .5 is a safer bet since the draw is a definite possibility, but since we are making some money in here going to take a shot with them to win. Palace is unbeaten in its last seven and Arsenal has only won 2 road games and this includes loses to Stoke and Watford. I think it is worth a shot. Kid took Arsenal so I did not post this in his thread.

I knew you would be on Va Tech. Will still post it in here as I have that one circled also. Defense rules!!

Va Tech +6 -120/+180 - Was waiting to see if this would go any higher but looks like it has stalled out at 5.5. This continues the trend of defense trumping offense. I will gladly take the points with a team whose defense is significantly better than the other team (similar to Purdue and Texas last night). Ok State is going to have to hit a lot of big plays in this game to cover and I am willing to bet that they don't. Va Tech is a little challenged on offense, but I like Fuente and trust he used the time off wisely to game plan against a weak defense. I simply am not a fan of these Big 12 teams that do not play defense.

Michigan State -130 - Should have gotten this in early yesterday at a better number, so I will play the ML just in case. I can not get Washington State's bowl performance last year out of my head. Leach is 4-8 ATS in bowl games and Wash St. is a poor road team They dominate at home but do not do well on the road. Plus, Pac 10 is not looking so great in the bowls. Michigan State has a very good defense and should be able to control this game. I think they are too physical and will simply wear Wash State out like Washington did to them. Plus I think they are motivated since they think they should have been in a better bowl.

Stanford +3/+135 - Weakest of the three plays. TCU actually plays defense, but their offense is bad. I simply think Stanford wins the turnover battle and wins a tight game.
