conan...it`s been a while, but, this is "JRM" from the old boxingranks site......you ever hear from rick, marks,dr z. or any of the others?.....

how you doin`?...

conan`s a solid european capper....i think you`re german aren`t you?....

whatever....conan`s a solid boxing guy....

welcome brother...

Hi jrm,

I bumped into Marks a while back, I cant remember which site though. Apart from Romi I haven't heard from the other posters for a while. I still have most of their emailaddresses, so I could get in contact if I wanted to.

I'm Australian, not German, but I am based in Germany and I follow the German boxing scene. I'm hoping Sturm will take on Abraham next year, so that I can make a packet on Abraham whilst watching Sturm get smashed into little bits.

Thanks for the welcome.

GW, I wasn't aware you posted @boxingranks . That makes several of us that have found their way over here...myself, JRM, Conan, Punch. I wanted to purchase the site from Howie but he wouldn't even respond to my emails. I see Marks post @boxrec on occasion. I think he lives out in Vegas but I could be wrong. I haven't told anyone about this site. I'm still fairly new to it so it's not really my place to invite. I liked Marks posts and I think he'd be a good addition. This is a VERY good small group of cappers. Conan is an excellent addition. I've gotten some good Euro information on fighters from him.

i still have a few hats and t-shirts from howie.......lol(i never got diddly from jack, and i even sent the s.o.b. imported pistachio nuts):142smilie

did you post as romi?......my memory sucks.....i always hoped i`d run into marks again so i could apologize for our set-to over the first corrales/castillo fight(i acted like a smacked ass over the long count on this site, too,if my memory serves me).....

. i think i was actually here before i was at boxingranks.....myself and box(and fletcher) were a lonely bunch until b.l. turned this gig into a corporation....:grins:

i will say that this is a very very solid boxing forum....as was boxingranks.....and it`s getting better....

i won`t be shocked if b.l. digs up howard cosell and cus d`amato before it`s all over and done with......:SIB

we had some fun over there, didn`t we....

Frosch stops reid in 5.
Reid quit on his stool.
He was down in round 4 and 2 i believe.
But he had a good third round and got three big right haymaker in.
First time i saw Frosch :
This man has power. Doesnt look so powerful but he got one punch KO power. He can take shot also. <better defence than i had expected.

I've been a Froch fans for sometime since he came to the states and looked to the ref before he killed Porras. Nice start for the weekend. Pornstar Reid had one "Contender" fight against fricken Jessie Brinkley since overrated Lacy hammered him.

I prefer Mosely to Cotto, but it's a close fight. You can see it going either way. I'd love to back "Mosely leading on cards after 6", but I dont know if he can close it. I threw a small bet on him and a few coins on the draw, I can imagine an even fight.

Welcome aboard!! :)

bodog actually has some nice offers.

I was going to stay away from Mosley vs. Cotto, but bodog has quite a few interesting props:

Harold Lederman's Scorecard Props Any KO is a winner, only Harold Lederman's scorecard after Round 3. No Parlays. Max $300
Miguel Cotto points handicap (Lederman Card) -1.5 pts after Round 3
+110

Shane Mosley points handicap (Lederman Card) +1.5 pts after Round 3
-150

Harold Lederman's Scorecard Props Any KO is a winner, only Harold Lederman's scorecard after Round 4. No Parlays. Max $300
Miguel Cotto points handicap (Lederman Card) -1.5 pts after Round 4
-145

Shane Mosley points handicap (Lederman Card) +1.5 pts after Round 4
+105

Harold Lederman's Scorecard Props Any KO is a winner, only Harold Lederman's scorecard after Round 5. No Parlays. Max $300
Miguel Cotto points handicap (Lederman Card) -2.5 pts after Round 5
EVEN

Shane Mosley points handicap (Lederman Card) +2.5 pts after Round 5
-140

There are some more, but my main premise is that Mosley will be very competetive in the early rounds.

I really like this prop
Shane Mosley points handicap (Lederman Card) +1.5 pts after Round 3
-150

So basicyll if Mosley wins only one of the first three rounds, you win.

I can see Mosley getting off to a good start and possibly hurting Cotto in the early rounds, after a few rounds the going could get tough for Mosley, but that's not my business...

The +2.5 after 5 rounds prop is a bit misleading, Mosley would have to win 2 out of the first 5 rounds which is much tougher than 1 of the first 3!

hopefully Lederman wont screw me up....

If you take a look at this prop from a mathematical point of view, there are exactly 2^3=8 possible ways to score this fight ( 3 rounds).

To keep it simple, I neglect the possibilities of even rounds (which Lederman hardly ever does), and kos and knockdowns (which - I my eyes - would rather be in favor of Mosley so early in the fight).

And only in the event that Cotto wins all rounds you would lose this bet.

Under the proposition that each fighter has a 50-50 chance to win a round, the possibilty for a loss is (0,5)^3=0.125=12,5% or one out of 8

So either way, this bet seems to have great value to me.

Lederman can be a little unpredictable and Cotto is a strong puncher, but still....

Mosely "says" he is looking for a war. Says he is looking for a KO. George Bush said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction! Mosley has like a 6" reach advantage over Cotto. I think he will pepper Cotto from long range to put rounds in the bank. His team should be astute enough to realize he should'nt fight Cotto's fight, at close range. Mosley 2-1 after 3. Good idea. Of course. Shane MAY get drawn into a slugfest, but I'm thinking later rather than sooner.

what the **** is casa doing ?

Losing..lol

I haven't been watching the fight untill now, did Cruz use alot of energy and throw a ton of punches in the first 4 rounds?

If so, its a good thing for Casa backers despite being down early. Cruz has a history of fading late in fights after building up a big lead

this casa/santa cruz fight is so boring i turned on football.....

just horrible...i was wondering what everybody was talking about when they were saying the undercard was so good.....it sucks...

maussa basically quit after a grazing punch.....and this fight is basically unwatchable.....

this is a joke.....

i pray that golden johnson, basically a solid journeyman from the old espn shows, fights way over his head.....

this undercard sucks on ice...
