I agree BOXLOX, but its the state of mind and the personal problems Tapia had in hismarriage that led me to take Arch. I wont lay big favs anyway, but sure at -300 I would have been inclined to bet Tapia. A prime Tapia would have been -1500 opr higher, but he has slipped significantly since his loss to MAB. Arch had nothing to lose and he fought that way.

let`s be honest

let`s be honest

archuletta isn`t much more than a good journeyman..he lost to emmanuel lucero, who i`ve seen twice and still can`t figure out how the guy wins...he`s horrible...

obviously tapia`s been through for several years now...the sad part is that his wife made sure that he avoided the truly big time fights with the top guys while he was in his prime....

the most protected lighterweight fighter i`ve ever seen....who may have been great...the casual fan thinks he was great...the boxing purists know that tapia has very little meat in his body of work....i still don`t know if tapia was really great in his prime....

where were his career defining victories?....danny romero???.......please...

eric morel was attempting the same b.s.... thank god he was finally exposed...

For the record, last year Tapia beat Manuel Medina who set a compubox record for punches thrown in a featherweight fight, and is ten times the fighter that Arch is.

gw
I agree that Tapia was protected most of his career but he did fight Barrera last year so you have to give him a little credit. I agree that Tapia has lost a step over the last few years but I have seen Arch fight twice and think he is a total scrub. There is no dought in my mind that if Tapia was healthy he would have won that fight easily.

Good to see you back in this forum, unfortunatly the fight you are asking about is a definite no play for me. Obviously I think Klit will win, but if you've been reading my posts lately you know that I'm done playing heavy favorites in boxing, and the total in this fight is a crap shoot.

Sorry I can't help you out on this one, but I would be glad to answer any other questions you have.

Tapia got the decision against Medina, but he certainly didn't win that fight. He lost around 9 rounds but still got the decision that everyone knew was wrong (including HBO). That fight was actually the first sign that Tapia sucked at 126.

for the record Tapia beat Medina;
for reality - he didn't;
it was voted 'worst decision' of the year,
and was a horrible decision, even by boxings low standards...

Mayorga fan has a transcript..................

Brodie went down in RD 1, is getting murdered, broken nose, and 2 bad headbutts, Chi is cut from the headbutt.

I will be shocked if it goes 12. Its a WAR so far up 2 Round #6.

Chi left no doubt on the cards, he wins by KO in RD 7. What a unreal 7 Rounds of boxing. Gatti vs Ward style.

Btw, does anyone know if the Tapia-Medina decision was contraversial or not?

My play on Tapia was just as much a play against Archuleta, and I don't care what anyone says if Tapia was healthy he would have beat that scrub.

I like Letter, or should say I dislike brother Judah - here is another guy plying an established name; I've seen him and see no skills that can make him a threat as a pro.....

"the bunker"
lots of

lots of

solid dogs....although,i doubt that lerma has much of a shot...he`s slow and was nearly retired by verno phillips....and there`ll be a similar speed deficit here...

as bad as santos looked against zuniga,he shouldn`t struggle to badly here...

i was looking at the over here....but,the last time i checked they were substantial odds...and,after the fearful beating lerma took from phillips and the way santos` homies booed him vs zuniga,he may work a little harder vs lerma....

but,+475....would never try and talk you out of it..

i do like williamson`s chances vs castillo....ahunanya also...decent dog plays..and,if parred yield a neat 19-1 longshot....worth a pack of cigarettes..

....castillo`s on a roll...he`s a very tough guy...but,he`s not a 235 pound bomber that will overwhelm williamson(ala mesi)....we have the taller guy....a guy that,imo,isn`t a quitter,and who can punch.....

i think it will be a little much to expect williamson to k.o. castillo(castillo`s very durable),but that reach(a long jab followed by the straight right down the pipe) could be big for williamson...

i believe shufford decisioned castillo with primarily a jab....i put little credence in castillo`s win over clay-bey......clay-bey`s conditioning and his performance vs better guys is a huge disappointment to me...

castillo`s tough...he could grind out a win vs williamson...a workhorse....but,+325 is a little off,imo....that mesi loss gave this enormous value...

i might touch ahunanya myself,also....whitaker isn`t the most consistent guy to come down the pike....ahunanya is a hard worker and gives 100%...worth a shot...again,the odds are the key...they say there`s no value if it loses....theres also no value if you don`t bet a little and it wins...

i had to take fres at +155 when it hit the board...even if his stamina kills him(the guy does fade in some fights),i had to take those odds....very possible that ruiz will one,two and clinch his way to another win...if fres doesn`t stay outside on ruiz, shame on him and his people...a little movement...a little boxing....ruiz` feet are cast in stone....oquendo is quicker...a better boxer...let`s hope they`re smart...

also had to take a small piece of under 5.5 with braithwaite/azille(at-120)...braithwaite has made me much money...he doesn`t fool around in the ring....if it blows,o.k...the guy has been a csh cow for me...azille has a decent chin..the fact that they fought once already is a bad thing....still,good odds and i`ll roll with the winning tide....if it blows,o.k.....the guy`s been good to me...

also had to touch the over in the harris/urkal fight....if harris goes up a little more,i might look at urkal in germany...

Rivera over Mayorga by decision +1450 lay .1 to make 1.45

The line at 5dimes went from -850/+600 to -600/+450 in one shot, and Rivera won't stop Mayorga who can be outboxed.

gw
You can get Urkal by 12 round decision +200 at 5dimes
