What happened was walker was told by the suits upstairs to put up a line, as they were hosts.
No one had one up yet, so he couldn't copy it.
Forced into actual bookmaking he opened Lucia Rijker at -130 (?) I may be off on it a bit but if memory serves Frank got in early at -150.
I got in at -180 and -220.
Boy-genius opened a mandog killer against a fatty at -130. Overnight it was in the 200's and quickly shot up to -400!
WHEN YOUR NUMBER IS BET UP TO FOUR TIMES WHAT YOU OPENED IT AT YOU ARE IN THE WRONG BUSINESS.
It was probably the worst number in Vegas oddsmaking history (some will point to JV's Tyson over Douglas #.)
His arse was saved when an injury forced a cancellation. One of his supe's told me they had very little buy-back action on Coal Miners daughter, even at +330 - no one gave her a chance. Except the guy posing as an oddsmaker, opening her at Ev, only to shut the fight off when she reached over +300.
And here was a measure of the man/house - other fights put on hold due to injury were still up - you could still bet them. But he pulled this one first chance he got.

Mosley now -220; +180 back. Also, at Ceasars, Margarito WAS-300, got bet down to -200, is now -240. I still think Cintron's level of opposition leaves something to be desired. If Margarito got over his loss to Williams, and he comes to fight, he will beat Cintron once more.
