lol I got 1:1 through parlays with Pavlik as the final. Fortunately all won except a Karzamin parlay.

Great article by Kehoe, I'll have to check out his other stuff. The most enlightening comment was about Taylor's stamina being worse than Pavlik's, I hadn't thought about that, it aids the notion that Taylor hesitates to go for the KO.

Houston of fightwriter has had some head-scratching comments, his analysis of Trambant was way off, tonymontana had it right.

Once again nice props at bodog

Pavlik -6.5 2.2

Harold Lederman specials:

after 3 rounds

Taylor +1.5 1.47

after 4 rounds

Taylor +1.5 1.95

Taylor leads after 3 rounds 3.0

Leader after 3 rounds loses fights or draws 4.0

I figure that Taylor will get of to a good start like he always does, Pavlik will probably catch up with him though....

I dont know if I would call Taylor a fader. I think he beat Winky down the stretch in their fight. Speaking of which, what is up with Wink? He still alive?

In regards to the second round of that fight after Taylor hit him with a couple decent shots I thought Pavlik went to make a face at him and taunt him and thats when he really got clobbered.
Watch the replay of the knockdown and I think you'll see what I'm talking about. If he didnt do that I dont think he would of been knocked down.

I think Pavlik will break him down again with that long hard jab. Taylor couldnt seem to avoid it in the last couple of rounds and I dont think he'll be able to avoid it again, no matter who is training him.

Actually, I have the fight on the DVR, and Pavlik did not taunt him, he just does that. Something with his expression. How would a challenger for the title get cocky the second round of the most important fight of his life. Just because you might do that doesn't mean everyone does.:mj07:

No Franks, he definitely did that at least one other time during the fight after Taylor landed a decent punch. He opened his mouth and made a face at him and taunted him, he might of even stuck his tounge out, I cant remember exactly. But he for sure did it at least once. I've watched the knockdown several times and it appears that he was doing it again when Taylor really tagged him.

His corner even says after the round that he got caught doing stupid sh!t.

Regardless, what makes Pavlik great is his fundamental punching. Like Kellerman said, straight as possible is the fastest way between two points. Combine his punching style with his reach and that makes for one hell of a jab.

It systematically should break Taylor down.

Spinch, where the hell is Joey?

What about a Klitschko and Mijares parlay?

I think Mijares is really solid and both should be locks.

I saw the same thing. Gave a little taunt and bang got clipped with the big shots that almost ended it and to make me a nice profit oh well.. I can't see what Taylor can do to win this fight. Its one thing to be more hungry this time which he states but its another to be seriously hungry. On 24/7 his wife said they just had a kid and he left for camp on Dec 27(i believe) . Is six or seven weeks enough to train for a fight like this? I just think Pav's confidence is at an all time high and sometimes this is the best thing for you. Its kinda like blocking someone in football. He rushes and you handle him easily and you know your day will be okay. Not saying Pav handled him easily but having the experience from the first fight will possible be the deciding factor. With Taylor i just think he is not that smart of a fighter. I said a few weeks ago that you need a bull horn to communicate with Taylor in the corner. funny but E Stewart on 24/7 basically said the same thing. Instructions go in one ear and right out the other. No bet for me tho. Pavlik in 5. I would rather fight Calazki before Pavlik. Hopkins made the smart move.

For what it is worth i think they have been doing a horrible job promoting this fight. this fight should be a huge draw. Hell i asked someone if they are gonna watch it and they said "its this week"

OK-so he made a clown face! What the hell; I ain't seeing it but it doesn't mean crap. The only thing that matters here are punches in bunches. If Pavlik does indeed taunt Taylor he deserves to get his ass kicked. GL to all.

we had a bit of a shin kick a few years back about the first corrales/castillo fight(if my memory serves me),and i think maybe we burned some bridges(or to be more specific,"I" burned some bridges)......

lol...i apologized and box and mayorga fan were stand up guys and forgave my boorish behavior...

even though i apologized to joey,i may have ruined that resource for the forum....he hasn`t stopped by since...

joey knows i love him(to be truthful,he probably forgot i existed)...

sooooooo.....the short answer is,i really don`t know what happened to joey.....

Im really liking Pavlik the more I think about it, I played him in another parlay with Mijares over and Rodriguez, something like +140. This kid has a luxury suite at the MGM with something like 6 rooms and 3 bedrooms, but prefers to sleep on the coach just like back home.

Looking forward to the weigh-in.

anybody think that "taylor ahead on lederman`s card after 3" looks interesting at +165?.....

i expect taylor to try and out-quick pavlik early...while he`s fresh...he is the quicker guy....

i am worried about lederman being a notorious favorite ass-kisser and front runner....and i hate wagering anything on what this mofo thinks...

still,at +165,i think it`s a decent small wager...taylor looks good early in most of his fights...

i think that pavlik`s toughness, stamina, reach(jab) and straight punching will eventually wear down taylor, who may have stamina issues...

that and the fact that it`s tough to come right back and jump on the horse after such a brutal k.o.....

g.l.

Yes, it has value I'd say. I am invested enough so I need to stop making any more investments. GL if you run with it. Zerwas usually chimes in with this type of thing. Price on Taylor dropping. Pavlik was over valued from the jump. Should not be more than -150, and even that is pricey. I can only hope that Pavlik catches Taylor hard and solid. Flashback city-PTSD.
