Took me a month to get out of the red but just a day to crawl back in. Play the BBs hard every year, sometimes well, this year not.

Not to question you but why do you like Tennessee State so much? Miami Ohio is 8-16 and shouldn't be favored. Looks like a trap to me. Thanks ahead of time!
A lot of this play is based on the poor showing by the top 3 MAC teams yesterday. The MAC is a pile of crap with the possible exception of Akron who shot the ball poorly against a good ORU team. I think that they had to open Miami as the fav because they are home and the MAC is perceived to be the better conference. Even with Murray's success, the MAC has a higher conference RPI.
I have seen Miami live and on webcast 4 or 5 times. They have little in the way of quality depth and for the most part a very un-athletic bunch. Mavunga can be a load inside but has struggled lately against teams that have a guy slide in to double on him in the paint. Their real threat is Sullivan jacking up 3s. In fact, in their game against West Mich, Miami opened the game with 8 straight 3's and ended up something like 9 for 11 for the half.
So, probably the 3 biggest things for me here is that Tenn St is near the top of the OVC in 3 pt FG defense, they are a very , very good at the FT line and they are on a really nice run. They were predicted to do well pre- season but struggled early before finding themselves.

Nice when things go as I suspected, it just doesn't happen as often as one would like. The Tigers go a sweet 20 for 25 at the FT stripe. Nice outright win for the closing 4 point dog.
