I went to Branson, MO when I was younger and I remember having a pretty good time. I was wondering if anyone has been in the last couple of years. What is it like now?

-Things to do
-Must see shows
-Good place to stay
-Places to eat, etc.

Let me know what you guys think. I am thinking of going late in July.

Thanks,

CM

One of the other coaches on my daughter's softball team went down there last weekend. I will see him Monday night and ask him what to see and where to stay. I haven't been down there since they did all of the developing and I know it has changed alot. Will get back to you Tuesday.

they have done alot of work on the traffic, alot of places to eat , if you went when you were younger, you probably went to silver dollar city, you know where you walk down one hill and spend the next 8 hours working your way back out, well silver dollar city now operates the "branson bell" and "celebration city" you can buy one pass and do all. Branson Bell is kinda nice, no alcohol, but a decent show and nice dinner on the evening cruise (i should say the Branson Bell is a river boat that cruises table rock lake) have not heard about celebration city except that it is supposed to have an awesome laser light show. Lot of different shows, Legends, Andy Williams, Locals baldnobbers, presley family just wholesome entertainment, Johnny Morris who owns Bass Pro shops, has a lodge that is supposed to be nice as far as lodging goes and you might check into and there is a new hotel on a bluff overlooking table rock lake I think its called chateau at the lake. Any who you should have no problem finding a place to stay as in the 90s Branson really over built you should be able to negogiate a good rate. If you choose to go have fun there are still a lot of buses with a lot of blue hairs, so have fun!

Peace,

LL

Chickenman, I talked to the friend of mine who went down to Branson a couple of weeks ago and he said he was only there for two days. He said if you have kids, Silver Dollar City is a must as they have alot of rides that are water oriented and at this time of year, it is pretty refreshing. They stayed at some hotel, can't remember the whole name, but it was some _________ Country Inn that had a water park attached to it and he said the room rates were reasonable and the water park was great. He didn't offer a lot of info, but beings they were only there for two days, didn't do a whole lot. Not being much help, but that is all he told me. Have fun.
