Is it just me but last nite all I am hearing is the great accomplishment splattered all over the place about Josh Hamilton and his 4 home runs. When Braun hit 3 there was barely a whisper. Lets examine this Hamiltondid it in Baltimore at nite in a park that is a a launching pad for hitters. 4 hr's and a double 8 rbi's and 18 total bases. Ryan Braun hit 3 hr's his last at bat the ball hit off the top of the wall and he got a triple. This was at nite at petco field in san Diego the most unfriendly and difficult park to hit at. The only player ever to hit 3 at the park. He had 6 rbi's and 15 total bases. Now as a baseball fan you tell me which one was more impressive.

Both impressive feats. 5-5 with 5 extra base hits including 4 homers is tough to beat, regardless of locale. 3, almost 4, in Petco is pretty damn sick.

Had Braun injected just a pinch more HGH, that last one may have cleared the wall :toast:

I bring it up because last nite on the radio all I heard all nite was the callers and talk show host spend hours buzzing over it. The nite Braun did it the update guy in passing just mentioned it to the host and all that was said by him was nice nite and that was the end of it. This is the same guy that says if you go to a padre game you get soccer results.

I agree with you Braun's was impressive but give Hamilton credit for hitting 4 Very Impressive.

I give him alot of credit great accomplishment but my point of was the coverage between the 2 and the degree of difficulty at petco field compared to a hitters park in baltimore.

now im not saying that hamilton hasnt done steroids or that Braun has, but..

1, hamilton is much more a "feel good" story than Braun

2, clouded HGH past, true onr not, is never gonna have people look at Braun's stats, from here on and be impressed (like they probabaly should be)

Hamilton looks the part to be able to hit 4 and Braun doesnt have that look/frame

Hamilton is in bigger? market

i mean you think of Texas Rnagers, (i) think of, Nolan Ryan, Ian Kinsler and all the offense they got, plus dizzying hot evenings, where yes, that ball will fly off the bat - and offense

i think of Milwaukee and i think of an overcast park (it just looks that way) with really no discerning identity to get behind.

i mean, who wants to cheer for Braun anyomre? Hamilton might actually be a worse person than Braun is for all we know - and for some, yes, cherring goes beyond just what they do on the field (usually it actually dwarfs their on field production) -and Braun doesnt, look to have a lot going for him, in media driven hype machine.

4 Hrs appears to me to be more and better then 3 HRs and a close but not quite 4th.

Plus Braun is a cheater.

they're both pretty darn impressive. Having to choose one player's accomplishment over the other is tough, but I'll celebrate for the one that supports gay marriage. Wait, what? They aren't talking about that stuff in baseball yet?

Both are damn impressive I think Hamilton night is better 18 total bases is awesome, regardless of ballpark...
