i played it. it seems they have the most rounded team i can remember and by seasons end this should be 3 or 4:1 if they keep the best record. paul byrd coming back soon as well, so that cant hurt em.

its a gutsy call.. especially with the Braves penchant for choking in October...... this certainly is a much different team than the Braves teams in the past.... as long as John Smoltz stays as dominant as he is... who knows...

good luck..:D

i just moved from atlanta and this team looks different. they did not have good batting and always relied on pitching and 1 or 2 runs with no bench in the postseason did em in. Now they have above average pitching and the best closer in the game. The biggest difference is having Furcal and Giles on base as much as they are when they never were, then comes sheffield, jones y jones., not to mention lopez batting 7th with 21 homers. no guarantees obviously but certainly the best record (i think ) in the national league deserves better than 7:1 . I wouldnt bet it at 4:1 now but whe the playoffs start that is what it will be. The Yanks aint winnin it, Oakland not enough hitting (very braves-esque like from the past), seattle is solid and so is sfran. should be oakland-seattle and sf -braves with braves over seattle. who knows, but for 5 teams in baseball to have better odds of winning aint right.
