BRAVES/METS OVER 8 -105 - This is the first ever meeting between Maddux and Glavine, but I think that it is the offenses that will take center stage tonight before all is said and done. The Braves have been absolutely lethal vs. left-handed pitching this season, going 10-1 vs. left-handed starters while hitting .303 AS A TEAM vs. southpaws! Glavine experienced this first hand in his first start at Atlanta last Saturday, as he had his worst outing of the season, allowing 6 earned runs and 8 hits while lasting just 3.1 innings. As great as Maddux has been over the years, he has struggled mightily on the road this year. While he has managed to go 2-2 away from home, he has a very high ERA of 5.71 with an equally bad ratio of 1.50, and opposing batters are hitting .296 against him. Also, the Braves have been a predominantly ?Over? team in May, as their games have surpassed the total in 18 of 26 May contests.
