George Karl as new Kings coach is official. Tyrone Corbin will coach tonight at Milwaukee as planned. No official announcement yet but it's done. Karl will be in North Carolina the next two days for Dean Smith's funeral services. All that per league sources ... Karl is assembling his staff. Still ironing out details but you can get ready for Karl, I'm told. Again, Nothing official as Karl travels to North Carolina. Friday is the logical day to put a bow on this thing. Karl meets team after break. Told he won't be in New York.

Kings are playing the 2nd game of a back to back tonight after losing in Chicago 104-86 last night. After making a short 1.5 hour bus ride up to Milwaukee, the Kings will be playing their 4th game in 5 nights and this will be the last game for both teams before an 8 day layoff. Will be interesting to see how the coaching news affects them tonight, especially with Corbin still manning the bench. Although it hasn't been officially announced, I think this is strange timing for the Kings to allow the news to come out. Given their scheduling situation and MIL playing it's 3rd game in a row at home, the Kings are facing a tough spot. As far as the players involved in this game who will be headed to New York, Cousins will be making his first all-star game appearance and Brandon Knight and Antetokounmpo will appear in the skills competition and dunk contest, respectively.

If the Kings show some spark early on tonight, I'll be looking for some value going against them on the in-game and halftime lines.
