This is pretty exciting for me.....As some of you remember I started working with my sons 7th Grade Basketball Team (With the help of Agent) after their season ended in January....The kids struggeled during their regular season but are still playing and have improved a lot....
The Owner of a local Basketball Club (High School All Stars Team) started showing up to practices helping out doing Skills & Drills with my team.....My kids all have aspirations of playing High School Ball.....So we had the kids start joining in at the Club Practices with the older kids to give them a taste of the hard work you need to put in to reach those goals.....The kids loved it!!!
Over the last couple of month the Club Coach and I have tossed around ideas of putting together a larger "Club" and having our own gym for the kids to play......Unfortunatley the costs are too high to do for us at this point.....
Last week we approach our High Schools AD about the possibility of using the School Districts 5 courts to expand the program for the kids....Looking to do Clinics, Leagues & Tourneys.....
To our surprise the AD gave us all the court time we want/need when they are not in use!!! We now have added 4 teams on the boys side 5-8th and two on the girls side 7/8 and looking to add more once the baseball/track/tennis season ends here.... The kids & parents are so excited as are we!!!! We should have around 110-120 kids in the Program by Summer...
Our first game is tomorrow, Coastal Surge 6/7th Boys vs Gold Ball Club.......:00hour
