I'm starting to get a little excited. Sort of like a kid a Christmas....
I am taking off Thursday afternoon to a buddy's in Ohio, and then he and I are heading to Louisville on Friday morning to another buddy's for the weekend.
We are just going to hang out in the paddock, drink lots of beer and hopefully make some money all day Friday and Saturday.
It's going to be awesome to see Zenyatta in the flesh. :0074
Gonna get to work on some handicapping after the little guy goes to bed tonight, but there is one I am on for sure in the BC Turf on Saturday:
AL KHALI --- 10/1 Morning Line
(Mott / Leparoux)
This guy raced huge in the Canadian International a couple weeks back at Woodbine, and if he could have found a seam, he would have been the first one to wire. Here is his chart comment:
AL KHALI raced midpack, was sandwiched between rivals upper stretch and dropped back, angled out and rallied gamely.
I'd like to see the PP's, but a couple other ones that caught my eye at first glance:
Awesome Gem in the Marathon at 7/1 and Delightful Mary in the Juvenille Fillies at 8/1, but that is mainly because of the Canadian connection.
I've been to 3 Derbys, but this will be my first BC.
