Last year, I participated in a different forum and posted plenty (well, like maybe 4 or 5/week) picks. As soon as I saw the Breeders Cup cards last yr. - the FIRST thing I posted was "You gotta be one hell of a degenerate to put real money on ANY of these freakin races... they are impossible to handicap. What a joke ALL these Cup races are".

Yeah, then I couldn't resist and resist again.. and again... and wound up dropping 3 figures without a single winner. Last thing I wrote was... guys, if next year's (2009) Cup card looks vaguely similar to the puzzles they offered this year... I won't even watch the bastages. And that would have been the case too.

Really happy to say that ain't the case. :)

Even though the Breeders Cup races haven't been very friendly to me like the Triple Crown races (anybody else single Sirava in 2003?, I'm pretty sure that was the year. And I ain't a longshot player neither, but his PPs and connections screamed, "Play me, Play me"... and I did :00hour ).

But, I really like one of the races this year and it happens to be the Classic.

OK, no more autobiography.... . .

I'm liking just about EVERYTHING I see (MANY years of capping nags) with:

No. 2 Colonel John: I'm sure I've bored everyone enough so I won't go through all the reasons, but I will say that the morning line (which I gotta believe will drop), of 12-1 makes this one a wheel job, top n bottom in the xactas. I'm afraid that - if he does come in with either of the "Birds" or Zenyatta I think the xacta will come up with a shorter price than most expect. Sooo.... .. also an across the board play on this no. 2 horse as well. Maybe a little heavier on the Show end, but I gotta see what he looks like when he gets on track before I tackle the W/P/SHOW thing. I am putting in the exactas early though. BTW, if his odds are higher than his M.L. a few mins. before post and his four legs are moving (even barely) in the pre-race - I'll bet heavier on him.

Enjoy the races and GOOD LUCK Fri/Sat.
