You like? After today - I SURE DO. The prices these days at Philly are BETTER than B.C. prices. Why bet on UNsolvable CLONE RACES when, with a little luck, you have a shot at solvable races? LOOK AT THEM PHILLY PRICES FOR THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS, JUST CWAZY!.

i should get a commission from Philly with all I post about it, of course I just get to lose some days and win some days for my efforts. BTW, getting to be a 9th race specialist (see my threads), actually didn't do that well but today I nailed it... $825 tri. I also had the no. 9 horse in my show spots on the tri. tickets and THAT WAS THE DANG ZUPPA ... DANG IT! I didn't even peek what that paid. STILL, my advice is to play trifectas, I can't tellyas how many times I missed the ZUUPA in the 4th spot. No mo ZUPPAS FOR ME x14:.

Errr... NO, i got the tail end of the BIG LUNKER, 50 stinkin cents worth a NOT so stnkin $205. I'll take it.

I'm not gonna bother with the cut n paste of the report here, nobody reads these anyway. BUT, I did have the intentions of posting the "Why play other wace twacks than Philly" thingy at the beginning of this post. Hopefully, somebody gives "fishing" at Philly and nail a LUNKER or two.

LUNKER at Philly today?

LUNKER at Philly today?

Thems are hard to come by, but there may be one in todays (OCT 24, Monday, I'm not opening a new post) 3rd wace. The first step at finding one is to find the race or races that will, hopefully, produce LUNKER prices and I got the 3rd picked to be one. Next step is the hard one - find the BIG ONE. YOU DON'T LOOK FOR ONE ; it has to pop up to the top or second to top plick after doing the handicapping the way you would cap.any race.Well, I got it between two of the entry's ... no. 3, Outpatient and no. 10, Stormy Salute.

Looking for a figure hoss instead? Unfortunately I gots 3 contenders for this category.. . . if it's of any help - thems are 4,8, or 9. I gotta see these 3 and play two or one of them before committing. Almost no matter who wins this race, the payout should be somewhere between "good enough" to HUMUNGOUS.

LUNKER CAME OFF THE HOOK IN THE 3RD :(

LUNKER CAME OFF THE HOOK IN THE 3RD :(

IF anybody here watched the replay or the race live (OF COURSE, that didn't happen, well, maybe Hammy did :)), you saw the no. 3 lead over 90% of the backstretch and when that one had enough in the stretch, the no. 10 closed from far back to get it's no. in the ZUPPA. Good longshot plicks... you betcha! And do thems EVA win, OH YEAH, they do enough times to make taking a shot with them pays off in the long run.

The good news for that race was how these two "LUNKERS" ran it and the BAD NEWS is how the ones I came up with after >20 mins. of capping that wace.... DIDN'T SHOW UP. Those were the FIGURE HOSSES.

HOW hossplayers don't play Philly and they all come running to see the clones run in the BIG events and, by far , most go home with their tails between their legs with empty pockets. Look at the prices at Philly with horses that you have a chance of coming up with... AMAZING. Still, this is one tough game to beat. You only need to catch ONE STINKIN race to get ahead for the day AND DON'T PLAY EVERY WACE! F'rinstance - I CAUGHT A STINKIN 1 DOLLAR TICKET ON A TRI ON SAT, PAID 8 HUNDRED AND SOMETHING FOR $2 AND THAT OVBER-PAID FOR A SHIT LOAD OF LOSSAHS FOR LAST WEEK , BET SMALL, PLENTY OF TICKETS and know what you're doing and/or catch some LUCK.

I gotta go, got some capping for remaining races for today. Sorry, Peepers, I doubt I'll make it back here later.

G.L. whatever you play.

I usually post my wieners... how bout today's 8th race? Well, went for over $50 going for Zuppas and Tries.
How did I do? .... Loosah!

Went for much less $ in the last race but result was the same despite that I absolutely LUVED Paco's hoss but didn't get it right when setting up exactas and a tri didn't work out so well.

GOOD MORNING, Peepers and OF COURSE, Hamster :)

GOOD MORNING, Peepers and OF COURSE, Hamster :)

Looks like I've been elected President of the "At the Wace Twack Room", tanks for that honor. I think a LOT of folks have given up on hoss wacin; it IS a really tough going in "sporting games" and they had enough losing.

Off to a very nice start today and I thought I'd share something with yas... caught the Double with a not so stinkin 4 dollar ticket:s2: and that led to this foryas....

Do you check out the hoss that has Edwin Rivera aboard?

(HOLD ON.. I gotta check out what's going on in the 3rd race.... the 3 longest shots in this wace were huge favorites of mine IN THE PAST and I gotta checkem out for exactas... I'll be right back)

edited: OK, Im back and I played all three of them with one of the choices in zactas.. and GOT DISPATCHED :(
IMO, ANY ONE of those whoulda creamed this field if it was in good shape but this race proves that all three are washed up these days. No. 5 got in the Zuppa but that doesn't mean a thing.

Back to Edwin - his winning % ain't good and the players DON'T play him... and that pays off for me quite often cause I got him pegged as among the BEST jockey's at this twack. Just give him the right hoss and I'm on him in a flash. That doesn't mean U play him on every hoss he rides cause you'll be a BIG losah .. BUT, if you like the nag he is on.. PLAY IT! Who knows, he just may win two in a row like he did in today's Double. :)

Keep practicing with them keyboards. then join us and we'll POST PLICKS before they run together.

Got the deluxe meal, Hammy... BUT,

Got the deluxe meal, Hammy... BUT,

This dang one with the trifecta nos. right in front of my nose, is still bugging me...

The stinkin TRIFECTA nos. staring me right in the face to the tune of a $700+ tri. ( for 2 not not so stinkin dollars ticket) ... . . and I went the exacta route. SOMah BEACH! This ain't the first (or second.. etc., etc) time this crap has happened to me and I bet it's done it to a lot of players.

BTW, I'm getting a little tired of the turkey PeePers sticking their heads in here and also the fact that other posters stop posting anything when I'm around (how cum?). Some people feel great about getting a thousand VIEWS, the no. of views means nuthin to me. In fact, I don't like it when the no. of views gets too high.

Sooo.... maybe I should just get my plicks to ya, when I can , doing the "just between friends thingy" here in MJ's place if that feature is still available. One good thing about that is, I think, other MJ MEMBERS can see them but the freeloaders can't. :00x12

Maybe you're only interested in Cal. twacks? or maybe you're cooling off with the hoss wacin scene? If not, reply what you think about this, Hammy if you see this post.

G.L. to ya

LUCKY TUE$, Election Day

LUCKY TUE$, Election Day

EDITED this 2 mins. after posting it... IT/S THE 6TH RACE

Prob. shouldn't post this because this has about the same chances that Trump has getting a landside victory today. But here goes - Today's 6th race at "you know where by now, I hope", has a horse that "LOOKS" like an absolute throwawy.

Just letting the Peepers know that I'll be including the nos. 7 hoss in my tries and will also play W/Pl/Show on it IF it l@@ks good in the prerace stuff.

Nice to see somebody else posting to the Peepers lately. I'll continue to add plicks in this thread whenever I get chance to that is .

This was the perfect race for why I HATE philly........this horse was clearly the best and obvious class 2nd time back off layoff all signs say go.......she was 20 lengths behind at the start she wlaked out of the gate runs 4th to a 5000 claimer after 2nd in a 20k claimer freshen the place is notorious for class dumping bull shit

I wrote something about my experiences with N.Y. tracks... like about 20 years of experience, in one of my posts/replays to you.

Your reasoning looks really good, but poo poo does happen in this game and there's nothing you do about that. You know, like poor starts. I don't know how N.Y. plays these days cause it's been a long, long time since I checked out N.Y. tracks. My experience with them is ...

1 stay away from the SPA, (Saratoga). You prob. don't bother with Finger Lakes - NEVER PLAY THAT TRACK!

2. Big A is USUALLY about spot picking a race where you find a a solid/consistent horse that can lay near or at least close to the lead, dropping in class helps, and among the top three favs. Also should have a top rated jockey and/or trainer. Of course there's a lot more to it, but this is an important part of capping Aqueduct methinks. BTW, almost all bettors don't pay any attention to OWNERS. I track the owners just like jockeys and trainers at Philly.

3 Belmont plays very differently than Aq. Betting smaller at this track is a good idea because you don't have to concentrate on the favorites as much there. In two turn races, steer clear of playing outside post positions unless the horse has exceptional early speed; those wide turns and the deep track is a real deterent for them. I walked across this track a few times and it's like quicksand uphill. One of the biggest wieners I've ever had was Sareva in the 2002 Belmont Stakes. I've hit a few like that one (triple digit wierner) at Philly in recent years, posted a couple of them here. One of them was taken down (inquiry), that REALLY SUCKED. Hmm, maybe it was on Maker's forum , Sharp Action Sports, not sure.

Good luck to you wherever you play

I actually do very well at the SPA but only on weekend stakes days. The last 2 weeks especially......this year the wife and I went for the Alabama to see Songbird run....it was race 10.....I did not play the race as it had no value for me.
But I played the first 9 missed the 3rd and 4th race and ended up plus 575 for the day. After we left I booked the hotel for same time next year............
I have never done well at Philly but I love looking at your selections

Thanks for stopping in Trucker

Thanks for stopping in Trucker

Just letting you know I saw your NOV. post today. SORRY, I rarely stop in this place these days.

Nice to hear about your trip to Saratoga; I drove up there ONE time with two of my wace twack buddies. Just for a day trip and it was a long, long trip. Really nice atmosphere up there and I wish I woulda drove home with an extra $75 in my wallet. In my case a 100 dollar bill was missing from it :(

All those baby races they run up there was a bit of a turn off for me, but still glad I got to experience that place.

Good luck whatever you're playing these days.
