I dunno why but i root for him big....never in tabloids....calls out goodell and is a great face for the players union....

Thank goodness he got at least one title playing for a franchise who hasn't had a defense in 10 year

I would have loved to see him with belichick...I think he is one of the gutsy hard nose guys to ever play the game.

Most guys would have 40+ more ints....teams know he has to throw almost every down because the saints d will give up 40+....defenses can just sit back and roll coverage every play.

Top 3 in completions/tds/yards....Favre and Peyton the only 2 players EVER with more in either category.....

Where does that leave brees? Let's say 3 more good years....he could really add some stats....if he gets a 2nd ring you have to think he'll be in the conversation for top 5 ever...

Beat Favre in nfc title game....beat Peyton in superbowl....

Belichick is 3-0 with brisset....Sean Peyton is a great mind but imagine brees with a franchise and coach who focuses also on the defensive side....

Just curious what his legacy will be

So. Cal
Top 5?

No chance

Brady
Manning
Montana

All clearly ahead of him

Probably a list of 5-7 more you could easily put ahead of him

Unitas
Elway
Favre
Marino
Staubach
Bradshaw
Young

Probably in that next group from 11-15

Aikman
Brees
McMahon
Harbaugh
Grossman

;)

Marino type career IMO...

But Brees won a title

I hope they trade Brees

Some team would get him for 2-3 yrs.....

Imagine Brees in Minnesota for the next 3 years

Imagine Brees in Houston with Hopkins and fuller

Imagine Brees in cinci with a green and eifert

Imagine Brees in Miami with Landry and stills and parker and Cameron and foster

Imagine Brees in NY with Marshall and Decker and forte....

More importantly, imagine Brees on a team with a defense

Saints clearly need to re-build- Brees could bring in a nice haul. ...hell, Bradford got a 1st and a 4th rounder. ...imagine what Brees could get from a team who thinks it's a QB away....

Agree Brees won a title but the gunslinger mentally very similar as both had and have fantastic quick release....

What's up with the 3 you listed above? How are they in the top 15 of anyone's list? Unless you meant top 15 Bears QB of all time. ;)

Anyway, can't see how Brees is top 5. Probably top 15 or 20. I can't see Brees being higher than anyone on this list. This list is not my top 10, this is in no particular order; I just think these should be higher than Brees:

Brady
Manning
Montana
Young
Elway
Marino
Aikman
Favre
Unitas
Tarkenton

Bradshaw won 4 superbowls and went to the playoffs 10 of his 14 years. Yes, he had an awesome defense but he is top 15 all time.

This is an almost impossible task given different eras in football. What about Bart Starr, Otto Graham and Sammy Baugh?
