The world according to Bret:

"Brian Urlacher is not a good linebacker. He's a good defensive player and maybe someday he's going to become a good linebacker."

I guess leading the league in tackles isn't enough. He pass defends as good as any LB in the league. And he's the fastest. I guess that isn't enough for Bret.

"The Bears (up 27-6 at the time) should stay aggressive and keep passing"

With a sore-armed QB?? Did he see any of their games last year?? Once they got a lead they worked the clock. Ironically, OC Shoop chose yesterday to get away from his normal conservatism.

"Give it to a sure armed tailback from Michigan who won't fumble."

The A-Train has had numerous well documented fumbles, going back to his college days and the controversial calls in the Illinois and Northwestern games.

Imagine these stupid comments and getting paid a couple hundred grand to spout this nonsense. You think a network announcer could at least do a little preparation

actually that was Randy Cross not Bret jones.not much difference between the 2.both former 49ers and both pinheads.I notice as the game went on he changed his thinking a bit when he saw Urlacher make play after play.
