BREWERS/METS Under 8.5 -115 - Ironically, on this first day of Interleague play, I am looking at the only National League game on the schedule. Kinney would have a much better record if he pitched for a better team, as he has a nice 3.69 ERA and a very good 1.20 ratio in 10 starts this season. He has allowed 2 earned runs or less in 6 of those starts, while allowing more than 4 runs only once. Not surprisingly, the Under is 6-3-1 in all his starts. This is Bacsik?s first start of the year, but he did not perform terribly in this role last season, especially here at home where he was 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA and an outstanding 1.09 ratio in 26.2 home innings. I am not concerned about his current 27.00 ERA, as he tossed just 3 Major League innings in relief this year before refining his game in AAA. The Brewers have never faced this southpaw before, so he could take full advantage of a Milwaukee lineup that is batting just .221 vs. left-handed pitching on the road. Finally, for all you trend-lovers out there (and you know who you are!), the Under is now 70-42, 62.5% in all Milwaukee games following an off day.
