It is nice to this today. Going into the season they have no real holes in the line up(remember this is the Brewers I am talking about). It makes it clear that the Brewers must of had a strong feel that Sexson didn't want to be back. The biggest question they have going into the season is at first for the field players. Starting pitching could get a little scary if Franklin and Kinney go backwards. They will have a better team this year, no matter what the public says and the younger players are a year closer. Last year the Brewers made a mistake in voting Sexson MVP, it should of been Ned Yost. The biggest problem the Brewers will have in improving thier record is the fact the rest of the division got better, Astros and those damn Cubs. Here's comes the time of the year when I can still hold hope for the Brewers, there is about 6 weeks left.

Did you guys see the story HBO's "Real Sports w/ Bryant Gumbel" did on the Brewers?

Always knew Selig was an idiot...if even half of what they alleged in the story is true, Selig should be run out town before the ink is dry on the sales contract and the rest of the owners should find themselves a real commissoner sooner rather than later...

The DISH network shows all of the Brewers games here in Davenport, and it was a lot of fun to watch Sexton, Jenkins(while healthy) and the should-have-been rookie of the year Podsednik last season. Makes me even more ready for the season to start if there is even a slight chance the Brew Crew will lose less than 100 games in 2004.....:D

I can't say I'm excited about the upcoming season, but it is very good news to see they resigned Jenkins. It's a step in the right direction.

I remember the season Miller Park opened, we used to drive down from Madison to catch games quite a bit. The first couple months of the season, there seemed to be reason for actual optimism with Jenkins, Sexon, Sheets, Loretta, etc., but it quickly fizzled. Hopefully this will be something the boys can build on.
