Prepare yourselves for the committee of closers, Giants fans.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy grudgingly informed the media Saturday that All-Star closer Brian Wilson had an MRI Friday night that revealed "structural issues" in his throwing elbow.

"He's likely looking at surgery," Bochy said.

Wilson will go for a second and likely third opinion. Head athletic trainer Dave Groeschner said he would "probably" see arm specialist Dr. James Andrews.

The extent of the damage was not revealed.

If the surgery is of the "Tommy John" variety, Wilson would be a repeat offender. He had Tommy John surgery in 2003, ending his career at LSU before he was offered a contract with the Giants.

The Giants need to clear a roster spot to activate Ryan Vogelsong in time for his Sunday start. Bochy did not confirm it, but Wilson replacing him on the DL seems likely.

Bochy said he will approach the closing situation similar to last season when Wilson was unavailable, going with the hot hand in the bullpen. The only name he mentioned was Santiago Casilla.

Bochy said Wilson was "positive and upbeat," despite the obvious disappointment. Wilson told his manager "I'll be back."

If the Giants are lucky, it'll be this season, but the mood suggested otherwise.

Giants lineup -- Huff, Sanchez batting four, five

Managers Bruce Bochy and Clint Hurdle have released their lineups for tonight's game between the Giants and Pirates.

With Barry Zito throwing, his personal backstop Hector Sanchez will be behind the dish, and Buster Posey -- still recovering from shingles -- will have the day off.

Aubrey Huff moves up to the four-spot in the lineup, getting his second consecutive start at first base. He'll be protected by Sanchez, who has three hits in 10 at-bats this season.

Huff hit his first 2012 home run at AT&T Park Friday in just his fourth at-bat. It took him until May 11 to get his first home run at home last season.

"You can't read too much into it," Huff said from the clubhouse. "We just left Colorado and Arizona, two great hitters parks, and I didn't come close to hitting one."
