In N Out is a must for lunch if you've never had it. its a cheap burger joint but you won't be disappointed.
Yamashiro is in Hollywood by the Magic Castle. Great view, good food and atmosphere.
Beverly Hills Hotel has an expensive breakfast but its great.
Gladstones is really good if you like fish.
Phillipes is great for roast beef. My favorite. They dip it and stuff and its great. Not a sit down restaurant with waiters, but its great.
If you are in San Diego, there are others that can help, but definitely see Tijuana. Walk the border and take a cab to revolution blvd. Go on a Friday or Saturday night and its all SD State people. Hot chicks. At least it used to be. Just don't buy the chiclets and don't get in trouble with the law unless you have money to buy your way out.
