Brother going to Panainge Malasia

Dont know if thats how you spell it but thats how it sounds. Anyways...I was wondering if anyone here has been there and what would be good for him to bring back. (Besides the clap)

He is leaving next week and is gonna be there a few days so if anyone has any suggestions on what would be good to bring back I would appreciate it. Thanks.

One of the true joys of Penang is its amazing and diverse food.
Favorite restaurant the Yasmeen, a small, plain Indian restaurant, without air-conditioning, has absolutely fabulous food.

roti canai (essentially a pancake of sorts with a consistency similar to chewy phyllo dough) covered with vegetable curry.

murtabak, which is roti canai stuffed with eggs, vegetable and meat, covered, of course, with curry. delicious.

Best of all the amazing lassis made by the Yasmeen. A blended drink made of fruit, yogurt, sugar and ice, they are the perfect refresher for the spice of curry.

famous for it local food, must go to Gurney Drive, beside the beach during the night, lot of stalls lining the street.

Nothing much to bring home there, unless u like malay handicrafts, or batik (traditional malay pattern cloth that the local make in clothings.

what your brother doing there??? holiday or work???
tourist go there for the beach.
I will not go there for the beach though, there are better one at Langkawi Island, or Kuantan.

KOD..Thanks for the info on the local food.

ronnieseah..He is going there for work. He will be there for a week. He is staying at some place called the Equitorial Resort. Its suppose to have a 18 hole golf course on it. It dosent sound like they have anything to interesting to bring back.
