Early lines have the Browns at +8. I'm getting on this today as I feel it will drop. Pitt is tough but Cleveland has been a covering machine as of late. Holcombe is not a bad qb. I like it alot. Anyone else?

I wouldnt lay my money down yet on them Brownies. Even though they beat the Falcons yesterday, Holcomb is just not good enough away at Pitt to win this game.

IMO if you can't see the dog winning the game, you got to be real carefull about taking the points.

Look closer to see if Pitt will be able to cover. How has Maddux been doing ?

If line goes to 10 i am on the Brownies myself.

Cant see the line going to ten. No way. Pittsburgh only beat them by three each time and should of lost the first game at home. I believe cleveland is better without couch and now green is playing strong. For some reason, Pittsburgh is not a good favorite to bet on as I think they finished the season at 5-10-1. Not good. All this said, just when you think they shouldn't they do. My suggestion is to hang tight to see where the action goes. However, the line looks to me awfully high when you consider Gbay is only favorite by 6.5 to a team that just got beat by cleveland and Gbay/Favre are something like 35-0. To me that is a question mark on both game lines. My whole point is that maybe one is getting baited in taking cleveland. Good luck in whatever you do.

but that pitt defense looks very bad...i just watched the ravens just piss the game away(2 blake ints. in the steeler endzone and a late fumble on a kickoff)....if a sad raven offense can move it like they did,i think 8 points is way to much....damn,the texans beat `em in pittsburgh.......pitt could blow them out, but,i`ll play the percentages and take the 8 while it`s there....ditto the 4 with the giants....g.l. guys.

gweasel no offense taken. i concur with you bud. i am scratching my head on why the line is that high in the first place. i stand corrected on the gbay record in the playoffs is in reality i believe 13-0. yea undefeated and under a td, but pittsburgh is 8. someone help with this? i can see a lotta of teases on cleveland over two td's, so you know what that means....go the other way.

Last year Pitt looses to the Bunlges at home before the playoffs, and then loose to NE at home as huge faves. This year they loose at home to the Texans, and allmost loose to the rebuilding Ravens . The Browns win this game. I,m on +8 for 3 units and +310 for 1 unit. Superbowl teams DO NOT LOOSE TO THE TEXANS AT HOME , the Browns will knock them off:nutkick

gweasel...pitt plays to the level of comp. enough said. they have for years. when they are pressuring the qb is when pitt's d is very strong. don't get to qb good night because their corners aren't strong. however, right now my early lean is toward pittsburgh. i think i may have come across a good source of information. stay tuned.

all over the browns at +8, they finally got a running threat, and holcomb will shake the rust off this week in practice.

I can absolutely see the Browns winning this game outright.

Holcomb performed well when pressed into action. Both games this year between Pitt and Clev (if I am not mistaken) were decided by 3 pts...one in OT I think?

Pitt's defence is weak. Clev's running game got better in the latter weeks of the season.

8 points seems excessive to say the least. The lone downside - Clev has very few players with playoff experience, and it's a bit scary betting on a team that's never been to the playoffs. Still a play for me regardless I think.

This game smells bad.....I intially like clevland getting the 8 points as well but I do not understand the line......During the regular season Pitt was a 6 point favorite against Clevland @ Pitt, then when they went to Clevland they were a 3 point favorite.....both wins were by 3 points, so the linesmaker opens Pitt as a 8 point favorite? Makes no sense to me  Maybe they are trying to bait us in on Clevland.....

Or maybe they are anticipating a huge rush of public money on the Steelers? Lots of people seem to be of the belief that this is a good team / think back to the Steelers of old, etc. Personally, I don't think this team offers a whole lot. They ~can~ be good, but more often than not they just scraped by. The Browns were good on the road this year, and much better ATS than Pittsburgh was. (My records have Cleveland at 10-5-1 ATS this year, Pittsburgh at 5-9-2). Still...that lack of playoff experience is not sitting well with me.
