MR. MCLAUGHLIN: Macro prediction, Pat.

MR. BUCHANAN: John, I believe that by the end of 2005, George Bush will be in the low 40s. I think his administration will be afflicted with scandals. I think their deep divisions inside the Republican Party will have surfaced. And I think we will have ourselves a hellish situation that will divide the country on Iraq. It's not good news, but I sense it is coming.

Looks like he's been taking lessons from a palm reader with all "general predictions" what adin has not been effected by scandals proven true or false--what war has not had country divided-what was approval rating of past presidents?

heres a few specific predictions for you--

as stated last week in another tread--"if" any idictments come out of Rove issue it won't be for intial charges but rather pergury or obstruction of justice

Delay will come out of on top of indictment by Earl the Squirell only to lose his seat in next general election ala Daschel.

In Nov 05 races the dems will continue their slide in general elections--

They will hang Suddam in public before end of 06.

25% of troop in Iraq will be withdrawn by end of 06.

No significant reduction in gas prices till mid Nov and end of Hurricane season.

People will still celebrate Christmas despite efforts of ACLU:)

Pat Buchanan is starting to look like a moderate compared to the wack pack we have in the White House right now.

Predictions:

Rove even if not charged will continue to have negative ratings with most of the american public.

Delay will escape his current charges but will be borught down by more serious charges linked to Abramoff that he will not be able to escape.

The Dems will make small gains but until they are able to have their own message they wil lcontinue to lag.

The Sunni's will reject the constitution by mid 06

Troop pullouts will begin to happen in 06 but only after the american people continue to vent and Republican's running for reelection force the issue. It will not be a result of a rosy and prosperous Iraq!

Gas prices continue to stay around 3 bucks a gallon

people will still be able to speak their opinion in spite of the hardline attempts of the religious conservatives to control our ideas and thoughts.

North korea will continue to produce WMD"S

Saudi Arabia will continue to fund terrorism and allow teaching of hate to the west

Scooter will resign as the fall guy

W will continue to take vacations at a record pace to clear brush

W will again fall off a bicycle

Cheney will continue to bettle Delay to see whom is the most corrupt man in politics and cheney will continue to stuff his pockets at the expense of the american people.

Frist will be found guilty of lesser charges

DJV what about almost $8 drop in ASD yesterday--OUCH that hurt!

MC I'd say half of Americans don't even know who Rove is and most could care less about political squabbles--You should be well aware by now--gross misconduct >convictions-impeachments-disbarrments lead to books sales and libraries named after people not negative ratings.

Agree Iraq will not be rosey and prosperous in near future.

Good possibilty NK will continue to produce WMD's but at least we are no longer footing the bill.

Don't think Cheney is worried about stuffing his pockets after giving millions to charity--Don't think you'll see Cheney or GW having to sell books- rent out the Whitehouse or marry into money to prosper.

Don't mind GW taking vacations--doesn't cost much to go from DC to Texas --its the world travelers that cost the tax payor and he will be far from the record holder--quess who??

Hint he made more foreign visits in 8 years-- than Presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon combined (over the years 1953 -1974).

every f'kn thread gets turned to clinton. please - for the love of god - give it a rest, dtb. clinton hasn't been president in what seems like an eternity. lots have happened the last 5 years. all of clinton's shortcomings and discrepencies pale in comparison to current events ....at least they SHOULD pale in comparison. all you do is show your partisan colors when you continue to dwell on matters of historic irrelevancy as we try and manage the overwhelming task of the here and now. wake up, son - lot happening right now.

This is an astounding comment. It doesn't cost much for a sitting President to fire up Air Force One, gas up the motorcades, pay the assistants, aides, security detail (not to mention their expenses or at the very least feed and bunk them) and go from place to place? If you honestly believe that, you are mistaken. And I think you don't really believe that, you were just setting up your next comment.

You don't mind your president taking excessive vacations? Do you REALLY think he is working as hard in Crawford as he would have to be in Washington? I don't. It doesn't make sense that he would be, either. Can he keep an eye on things? Sure. Do other countries think he is responsible spending so much time at home? Do Americans? I don't. Supporters will shrug it off, as you do, but it's an embarrassment and a testament to his holier-than-thou mentality and lifestyle.

I personally would prefer my sitting President to spend a large percentage of his time in Washington instead of hanging out in the damn tumbleweeds. I don't doubt George prefers hiding out in Crawford to being in public, though.

I can honestly say that I would be happy to see my taxpayer dollars go to pay Clinton's abroad schedule, as he was welcomed where he went, was a good ambassador for the country that was not a public embarrassment every time he took a podium in a foreign land, and actually was considered a statesman. Heck, DUBBYA even wants him to be the public face abroad now for many of the US-led efforts...he knows a good person when he sees one.

Bush? Please...he's probably more of an embarrassment abroad than he is at home. The only hope we have is that he makes even less sense when he speaks to people that DON'T know the language.

I guarantee you I feel more publicly served as an American to have seen Clinton extending American good will abroad with personal visits and looking and sounding intelligent than I do Junior hiding out at the ranch. Although, come to think of it...maybe America IS better served hiding Bush in the Bush as much as possible.

My reason to bring him into many situations is my assault on "liberal logic"
--For those that hype "opinions" that suit them with total disregard for "facts" that don't.
