Coming into gm #1, the Mavs had four days rest. The Spurs had less than 36 hours to catch their breath.
In gm #1, the Mavs were leading after the first qtr by 3, the half by 6 and the third qtr by 1.
I understand the Mavs were the underdog here, but I feel they had the Spurs on the ropes and couldn't pull off the upset.
I give them credit for snagging the ATS cover, but imo, an outright win would have given them a lot more credibility.
The Mavericks missed their last six shots and made just 2-of-4 free throws in the final 3:28.
In terms of rest for both teams, the playing field is now level.
Well, the game may begin on a level playing field, but I think tonight will be a difficult, uphill climb for Dallas.
