Be careful whit the stats I?m posting I think some numbers I have use are not up to date.
The under is 6-0-1 between those two, but only one of those game is in 2001, one in 2000 and the rest in 1999, including the playoff. I?m not giving any value to this stats or very little.
I?m thaught something could come out of this one but not very happy about what I'm getting.
One article was nice about buffalo wanting to play better on the road, specially on defense.

Buffalo away GF 2.5 GA 3.00
Dallas Home GF 2.73 GA 2.66

Buffalo road dog 2.4 3.1
Dallas home favor 2.73 2.66

Dallas PP is at 21% last 5 and Buff pen K is as 76%
Dallas shut on goal success ratio in last 5 = 19%
Dallas on 3 days or more rest is 2.5 gf and 2.00 ga
The over is 4-0-1 in buff last 4 overall and last 4 road went over
Buff shut on goal success ratio in last 5= 12%
Buffalo scored 3 goals in last two (1.5) but 13 in previous 3 (4.33). This let back is due to a struggling PP. In last 5 games they are 1 for 20

Buff GAA in last 2 is at 4 but they gave an aver of 2.25 for the previous 8 games.
Biron as a GAA of 1.2 in two games against dallas
Turco 2 shutout last 2 out

When buffalo gives 3 goals or more they are 1-14
When buffalo gives 2 goals or less they are 11-2

Dallas scored 3 goals or more in 77% and when they do so they win 78%.
When Buffalo is scoring 2 goals or less they are 1-13 (7%)
When buffalo is scoring 3 goals or more they are 12-1 (92%)

Buffalo on more than 3 days rest is 4.5 GF , 1 GA

I almost have one play down on this one but output would be nice.

from dallas paper...
: Buffalo (13-15-2-1) is last in the Northeast Division and has dropped its last two games. The Sabres have won only one of their last six games in Dallas.

Who's hot: RW J.P. Dumont has posted impressive offensive numbers on a team not noted for gaudy offensive stats. Dumont leads the Sabres with 14 goals and just finished a career-high eight-game point streak that saw him record seven goals and six assists.

Who's not: C Chris Gratton, the subject of recent trade rumors, has only one goal in his last 22 games. His last goal came Nov. 8 against Atlanta.

Injuries: None.
STARS
: The Stars have lost just twice in their last 12 games. But the Sabres will be a test. The Stars have yet to beat an Eastern Conference team (0-5-2-1) and have been outscored, 29-18.

Who's hot: D Richard Matvichuk was a career-low minus-12 on Nov. 12. In the dozen games since, he's plus-10 and has nearly raised his plus-minus to even. Matvichuk, who is not known for his offense, has four goals and eight points in his last 10 games.

Who's not: The power play without injured point man Sergei Zubov. The Stars are 0-for-8 in the last two games on the man advantage minus the injured Zubov.

Well zubov should be back but does that mean the PP gets going again against Buffalo's struggling PK. tough call for me, frogy. i think buffalo will be a good matchup for dallas..i would also make the point that dallas home games during the week have fewer fans and crowd support. on the weekend, the corporate fatasses finally make their way down to the lower level seating but during the week, they are either late or no-show. Also NOTE this game starts at 6:30 dallas time so i think a lot of seats will be empty when the game starts, people still navigating through traffic to get to the arena--i will look through some more, but i dont know what to make of this one right now, lean over 5 goals at this moment--

My early lean was on the over but Biron stats against Dallas and Turco last 2 games made this a no go.
Then i sow buff low succes on goal per shut and also their GAA when playing on >3 days.
Dallas PP not performing.
Their was alos that article that i can not find anymore about buff wanting to play better on defense on the road.
NOT DECIDED YET.

might be right frogy, especially after Buf gave up 2 short-handed goals to Rolston in their last game(also on the road)

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
A lot of these goalies play poorly after a shutout. Any pattern like that with Turco?

Ft Worth paper mentions flu bug "making its way thru the lockeroom" at Dallas. Any other players have it we don't know yet, because they are sick but can still play.?

AFTER THE LOST TO BOSTON "Special teams obviously cost us the game," Buffalo coach Lindy Ruff said. "We were just caught standing around." Biron started the third period but was replaced by backup Bob Essensa at 2:37, less than a minute after Satan shot high over a sprawling .
Biron should be focus on this one..so should the special T
LIKING MORE AND MORE THE UNDER AND LOOKING AT BUFF RIGHT NOW.

terryray, no word on any other players that might have it..this should be different than pitt though b/c these guys have been home the whole time so it is easier to quarantine them i imagine. for example, dimaio didnt even practice on tuesday and belfour hasnt been able to skate much also, so b/c they havent played since dec 7 (at home) i dont foresee an epidemic like the one in pitt. good ? though, i just dont know of any others who are affected...

since zubov is back, helenius will return back to the third D pairing(with manson) and dimaio's injury will more than likely be filled by lukowich who will move to the LW spot on the 4th line. gainey was called up but with zubov back, hitchcock will jsut move lukowich to forward and gainey will not play...
good luck if you play the under frogy, i dont traditionally like unders between 2 teams in different conferences...i think buf at +170 is the value play but will not go against my boys.. later

terryray, turco's last 2 starts have been shoutouts(calg and edm) he did come in the 3rd period against ottawa(which was in between calg and edm) and gave up a goal on a penalty shot. but those two shutouts were less about turco and more about the stars playing defense..calgary generated little O and edmonton got down by 3 or 4 goals early and the game was over...turco lifetime is 6-4-1 as a starter at home and 11-5-0 on the road

Funny what a nice cold one will do for you.
I've decided to go on the over and to take buffalo.
I dont like that muc the buffalo pick but the last 2 time i didn't have the guts to do a play it came thru.
So i like the over and Buffalo(small, very small).

Dallas shut on goal success ratio in last 5 = 19%
The over is 4-0-1 in buff last 4 overall and last 4 road went over
Buffalo scored 3 goals in last two (1.5) but 13 in previous 3 (4.33).
Biron as a GAA of 1.2 in two games against dallas,Turco 2 shutout last 2 out: one will have to give, after stats are made of average.
Buffalo on more than 3 days rest is 4.5 GF , 1 GA
The Stars have yet to beat an Eastern Conference team (0-5-2-1) and have been outscored, 29-18
Zubov is back and so should the man advantage for Dallas.
