Build a Wiffle Ball Field and Lawyers Will Come

So these kids take some initiative and clear out a vacant lot on city property, build their own whiffle ball field and now the neighbors and city officials are up in arms. I mean, come on... let's get a reality check people. In this day and age of gangs, drugs, slacker teens, etc. it's a shame that these kids live around a bunch of uptight a******s.

that is really cool.. brings back memories of when some guys i worked with rigged a makeshift wiffleball field( (all past our serious competitive sports ages)in one of the guy`s backyards....

it was more fun than you could imagine...the families would come out,we`d drink,put a t.v. out on the deck,barbeque and watch sports...


it was like an adult carnival......it was a regular summer thing for a few years..

in a time when kids are into much less wholesome entertainment,or glued to their computer screens,this is a real breath of fresh air... showed real initiative..

it`s ashamed that litigation.liability issues and "the usurpation of green spaces"(lord i hate this fricking "green" b.s.)always seem to rear their ugly heads...ashamed the adults forgot what it was like to be a kid..

I spent many hours at "Ingram field" (best friend's front yard where we played whiffleball). We always played homerun derby, and our bats were corked with newspaper, and the balls were taped with duct tape. Amazing fun.
