please share an example of that damn "liberal media" advocating for taking away legally obtained guns. i mean, i'd be fine with every single gun other than hunting rifles (actual hunting rifles, not AR-15s. Learn to shoot straight, for fuck's sake.) and shotguns being confiscated. but that's just me. and i'm not even a liberal! i'm just not a petrified cuck who feels the need to have a gun.

ok, there was that ONE time when obama came to my house (with 3,000 armed marines) and demanded i hand over all my weapons, including kitchen knives and softball bats. but that was a long time ago. doesn't really count.
You must not understand how this works. They get to come in here and make ridiculous assertions but they can't ever be bothered to provide evidence.
yeah, i know. i just miss the days when we could have actual debates. but with this maga shit, facts truly don't matter to them. and it's very sad for our country. i've said this for years, as i've watched people become more and more ignorant... democracy only works if the population is informed. now 50% of the population can name every kardashian, but not all 3 branches of government. (psst, it's the nina, the pinta, and the santa maria.)
funny thing is, my friends on the left think i'm very conservative and my friends on the right think i'm a huge liberal. i've voted for plenty of republicans in the past. but republican politicians these days... my god. not a single one gives a fuck about making this town/county/state/country any better. they are too busy being corrupt and owning the libs. and because republican voters are so conditioned to vote for that "R" no matter what, nothing's going to change.
don't get me wrong... republicans don't have a monopoly on corruption (they're just way better at it), and democratic voters also frequently vote party lines no matter what. but dems are FAR more likely to punish their politicians for malfeasance.
the "good" news is republicans have reached the point that in order to win a primary, you have to be a complete POS. which guarantees you're going to lose in the general election, assuming it's fair. but we know they are going to great lengths to ensure elections aren't fair any more.
we all know every empire must crumble at some point. and, as with most great ones, the rot is coming from inside. we are truly our own worst enemy.
i knew it was never going to happen, but i truly hoped hedgehog was going to scour the internet, desperately trying to prove me wrong. and maybe, just maybe, when he realized he'd been lied to by his "news" sources, it would open his eyes. look at me, the eternal optimist.
