Tie game , top 7 , lead off double. 1000 times out of 1000 I bunt the runner over and let Grandersons fly out to center win you the ball game.

I just don't like what baseball has become . Swinging 3-0 down two or theee runs . It's like they don't understand the game anymore .

Oh well 6+ more hrs to enjoy today

I totally agree Boomer. Analytics is ruining baseball in my opinion. I hate pitch counts, launch angle and you can't even slide hard anymore. Give me some good old country hardball. These managers can't make a decision anymore unless they look a half a dozen stat sheets.

I agree that everyone should be able to bunt, but that's not how they play.

In a 1-1 game, 2-1 looks pretty good!

The game has certainly taken a turn for the worse. No one bunts or moves runners. Hitters are swinging for the fences on every pitch. How many strikeouts have we seen in both series with men on with less than 2 outs. No such thing as good fundamental baseball anymore. Yes, analytics and the geeks are partly to blame, but for me, it is the managers. Looks to me that they have no real control over their teams these days and are constantly trying to make players happy instead of imposing their wills. I also think this is systematic of all the "younger" player managers we are seeing. I have to think that transition away from older more "traditional" managers has something to do with it. For me, the overall quality of play is as bad as I have ever seen.
