Thanks for the info. I thought I was getting a bargain with Forida +172 last night. Woke up to see +200 and wondered what happened. I still like the Panthers, though. I think the team will bond and give a big effort. And don't forget -- Bure's a double-digit minus player who was on the ice when the Panthers allowed a shorthanded goal during a 5-on-3!

The best play may be the under.

I could not believe that 5-3 shorty on a breakaway!! The other Bure might be back tonight according to SLAM. I think you may be on to something with that Under. Good luck.

:topic: On another note, I am not blaming anyone or trying to get on anyone, but I am sort of dissapointed that 2 threads had to be locked on this forum. :nooo: I guess all is not perfect over here in "The Truman Show" that is the NHL forum. :D :brows:

again off-topic, but modano's 5 on 3 breakaway was just an amazing goal, i am constantly in awe by the talent he possesses. but i could say the same about a handful of otehr players, not trying to give too much pub to my team....

the ? for tonight is can florida's no nonsense banging keep them in the game until the third and then can they somehow sneak one in. i think they try to hit the hell out of ottawa, seems like that's what these lower echelon teams have to do to compete, and i see tonight's matchup especially w/o pavel that way. although i believe valeri could be back tonight(keenan's comments on valeri were non-commital but appeared to suggest he is very close, awaiting medical clearance)

the price might be right for fla at home, i just think ottawa should be focused tonight and look for the better team to triumph here...

Adding to what you said, wigs. It seems to me that OTT should be play well tonight coming off the loss to ATL the other night.

I am leaning towards the under in this one with Bure out and OTT giving up 4 the other night.

I was watching that game the other night (boy, DTV Center Ice is great) and you are right about that Modano goal. Sweet! It cracks me up how the Dallas Broadcasts on Center Ice leave the mikes open and you can hear the announcers wise ass comments to each other and about the game.

SJ,

I will be posting a write-up soon. Ya it is too bad two threads had to be locked, especially the thread I started on out of conference plays. I wanted to get out some great info. There is some big money to be made on these plays.

As for Modano, he is by far and away my favourite player in the NHL. His 5 on 3 was purely incredible. Not too many guys in the league could pull that one off.

GL tonight!

Record slightly better than it is now, so if Keenan is so great and a God sent why aren't they higher in the standings?

Whaler, when did I compare Quinn to Martin? You started this one, not me.

I only wish Martin had the budget Quinn has to work with, I envy the Leafs budget because I know as a Sens fan that Ott. will never win a Cup in a small market.
