Me, too. Last week. Outstanding. I've had several burgers the past 2 months, and this was #1. I'll be avoiding meat until thanksgiving, but I am reserving the right to enjoy one every now and then.....

I've been doing P90X, but I still try to sneak in something tasty once a week. That might be why it was so good.

5 guys is definitely good but it is over priced. Can't believe paying $10 for a burger fries and drink.

Smashburger is worse. Even more expensive and the burger isn't more than average.

I only get the burger but it's pretty hard to find a burger, fries, and a drink under $10. At least around my area.

The burger was in the $6 range, which is the typical price of burgers in this area.

You must be strong willed my man.......I can not get past either or both, burgers on the grill or Taco ground beef in velvetta and rotella dip with nachos during game day..........Maybe I should try fish tacos:shrug:

I eat fish tacos constantly... At home, as well as out and about.

Most things are cheaper in Houston, TX than other places.

Housing is $80/sqft in a nice upscale suburban community.

Burgers/fries/drink is $6.

Quit trying to be a big shot, Betone. You probably grew up in Dulac shelling crabs and swatting mosquitoes.

I grew up in a one bedroom apt behind a gas station...............I know my fucking roots Dog. I have never lost sight of that. FWIW

Yet, how you grow up, does not define your life. if you work very hard and stay focused, this is america........You either rise above or play the whow is me role.. I chose the high road. No one gave me a dime, and yet I am better off because of it. The best Dog, is that I take care of my mother, my kids and am looking at a low key retirement.... So.......I got your big shot brother......:thefinger

And neither have I....so why is saying that something is overpriced, no matter what the cost, is wrong?

Check out this one, made it this weekend and make it quite often:

http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Fish-Taco-Platter-233703

One thing, the recipe calls for fried fish but I've done it grilled many times...it's healthier, and way less work and cleanup as well. Give 'em a shot.

thanks and saved page :0074

always looking for new fish taco recipes as i cook on average once a week... and I am like you that I never fry and always grill... much healthier:0074

now just need to figure out to take recipe down to one person or if cooking for a guest :mj07:

the baja cream and tomatillo salsa verde make a lot, try to cut them down. If the proportions aren't exact it should not change the flavor that much.

trust me on this one the pickled onions make the dish. doesn't sound that good but it just works.

will try next week... got some fresh pico de gallo and cilantro with verde for tomorrow night with grilled albacore tuna

I still think a fish taco restaurant with just beer and wine and good music is a money maker :0074

right location, 5-6 kinds of fish, mixed condiments, fun atmosphere, fast and healthy:0074
