Was good interview with Bush last night by Britt. No softball questions if you read transcript--If you want to see another interview with non canned questions --Oreilly has Rumsfield on tonight.

I posted link to entire enterview with Hume--if what you reported was entire article you need to find new source for news as your only getting half the story--but then again there are sources that that is their intent.

and on your Bush/Cheney bumperstickers--you'll usually find them accompanied by ribbon in support of troops--when the last time you saw ribbon accompany Kerry sticker?--Yet who does all the articles on troops deaths--but at same time want to give terrorist attorneys-don't want to humiliate terrorists--make derogatory connections with troops--writes supporting articles for terrorists to be reprinted on Algazeera on a daily basis.

heres the thing.

FOX news reports facts. then folks like o'reilly, hannity et al. comment on it. im sure the latter is what irks you. why dont you stick to CNN. or does rita cosby annoy you with her cigarette voice and he previous stent at Faux news?

Okay, so you are intimating that I somehow took part of Grahams quote? Maybe I did. Where is the link to the rest of it. Evidently I left out something he said about still wanting to invade Iraq, and that was not my intent. I believe in looking at the whole story. I'd rather know all of it, even if it puts me in a bad light. I thought he voted against the resolution, and argued against the hidden viewpoints against it.

spibble. I refer to it as faux news, because even the most right-leaning conservatives usually admit a conservative tone to most of the offerings there. I don't think I'm too off-base here. I also realize that many of the other outlets lean to the left in how the report news. Both sides present actual stories and truthful facts. Please don't tell me that you can't even admit that Fox News generally carries a conservative theme. If you can't then really, we can't even have a discussion about this. Yes, CNN leans left. MSNBC does too, to an extent, although Tucker Carlson surely doesn't. Etc.

Yep Stevie if you read interview above you will see below conversation on question to Bush on Delay--Somehow interpreted it somewhat diff. I'm sure it will be in print tomorrow so before Clem or you throw it up here as fact I thought I'd alert you ;)
Reid said --Bush said there was no need for trial in texas on Delay he's innocent. Quite diff than what actually occurred but as usual many that read it tomorrow will take it as gospel.
Heres what was "factually said"

HUME: Do you home and expect that Tom DeLay will return to be majority leader?

BUSH: Yes. At least, I don't know whether I'm expecting it. I hope that he will.

HUME: Why?

BUSH: Well, I like him. When he's over there, we get our votes through the House. We had a remarkable success of legislative victories. A remarkable string of legislative victories. We've cut the taxes and delivered strong economic growth and vitality. We've had an energy bill that began to put American on its way to independence.

HUME: You know a thing or two about Texas politics. What is your judgment of the prosecutor in the case, Ronnie Earle?

BUSH: I'm not going to go there, simply because I want ? I want this trial to be conducted as fairly as possible. And the more politics that are in it, the less likely it's going to be fair.

HUME: Do you just ? do you believe he's innocent?

BUSH: Do I? Yes, I do.

Today Harry Reid went on TV and slammed Bush for saying he thinks Delay is innocent, without having gone to trial. Harry Reid acted like it was a fukcing national crisis.

Why didn't Harry Reid have the same reaction when Howard Dean said the DeLay needs to go serve a jail sentence?

Liberal hypocracy

You wonder how the troops feel--I really don't think they been looking for WMD'S for some time and maybe if you watched a real live news report with GW reporting from military sites you would get better look from faces of troops than your air america reporting.

DTB, you mean the canned live speeches where only people that agree with Bush are allowed to participate? Wow, thats some real news there,we wouldnt want to actually believe that there could possibly be another side to his speech that might actually be the truth would we! I think you must of been drinking that Limbaugh Codiene Kool-Aid to make that kind of statement!

No we don't. We watch them on TV every night and they all speak of great success and they do not want to come home until the job is done. Turn off CNN and MSNBC, they won't show you the truth. Soldiers are re-enlisting at record rates and returning for 2nd missions to Iraq BY CHOICE.

Want to talk about re-enlistment rates?

Want to talk about Bush's approval rating with military soldiers and military families??

:mj14: Bring it on...you won't like the facts that I will gladly present to you.

Stevie-- I know you didn't watch Oreily/Rumsfield interview--- however I believe might be good chance MC did- if so would like report from him or any from the left or center on if they remotely thought this was canned presentaion--or used used softball questions. He had 10 of toughest questions I thought--and on some Rummy tried to dance around -Oreilly would not let him off the hook and on one occassion said don't spin us your not answering the question.

Would be curious of others thoughts since mine could be "biased":)
Will put transcript up here when available but was very lengthy (1/2) hour so don't know if it will be in entirety but hope so.

---and Stevie I was pretty close on Reids reported
interpretation of simple statement when asked by Hume--
fact--
HUME: Do you just ? do you believe he's innocent?

BUSH: Do I? Yes, I do.

Reids public liberal interpretation of these 5 words--

"The president of the United States announced that the jury need not assemble in Texas, that Tom DeLay is innocent," Reid of Nevada said. "To have someone of his stature that is the president of the United States prejudge the facts on a case is something I've never heard of before. And here is a president who believes in law and order?"

Bush is not on a jury so who cares what he thinks. However did anyone think he would say. Sure I think he's gulity. His right answer should be no comment. Let the system work.
