DJV:

Apathy is the most interesting reaction I find from most people concerning this administration. It appears that most people accept corruption, political partisanship, the taking-care-of-ones-friends mentality (especially the large GOP political contributors) as part and parcel of a Republican administration.

This guy is the dumbest moron (to paraphrase our friends in the government to the north) ever to set foot in the white house since Ronnie Raygun. A lot of people are going to die before this clown is voted out. Normally, I would say this guy is an embarrasment to the state of Texas, but then again, he seems kinda part and parcel to what I've seem come out of that toilet bowl of a state.

If Clinton did half of what this criminal is doing in the white house, the religous right would be having another one of their daily moral outrage fits on talk radio. Somehow can't we blame Clinton for the Saudis' also? must have been that bj from Monica.

Home land security is a total waste of money. As Gabby Johnson in Blazing Saddles would say "....that sidewinding, bushwacking, no-good, wiggleragger, there ain't noway, nohow, nobody...." is going to be safe from terrorism in a free society. This airport security crap is just window dressing to provide fat rich republican, christian, right-wing, morons a false security blanket.

Too bad Mexico didn't win that war bout 150 years ago. Adios muchachos

Eddie, from the middle

PS. By the way, Happy Thanksgiving

OK djv I guess I can chime in since its Thanksgivings eve and we all mostly got alot to be thankfull for, even Haskell.

My only comments concerns Saudi Arabia. Lets see all the 911 hijackers carried Saudi passports.

Hmmm... Just so happens that somehow money found its way into the hands of some of these guys directly from Saudi Arabia. For them to even deny it seems ludicrous. No way that is just a coincidence. The money went where it was intended. Big oil boys.

As for Bush, Haskell, I didn't vote for him but I have to wave the american flag and say just get your ass behind your president.
He really isnt that stupid. I have almost learned to look over some of the things that he says. I cringe at the thought of where we might be now if Gore was in the oval office wearing his beard.

Time to rally around the flag boys. If we start WWIII then I will volunteer to ride & guide a nukey from the plane into one of Sadams palaces in Baghdad.

I read an op-ed piece today about the Homeland Security bill that is very revealing.

It appears that for many years now some large pharmaceutical companys have been using some type of a mercury compound in some of the vaccines that are normally given to infants. Oddly enough, the increase in autism amongst our youth seems to correlate fairly closely with the use of this mercuric compound and there is a group of people who are trying to sue the pharmaceutical companys over this claim.

So what has this got to do with terrorism?

Good question.

But someone put a clause in the homeland security bill that prohibits these pharmaceutical companys from being sued over these mercury compounds. And apparently no one can determine exactly HOW it got into the bill, WHO introduced it, WHEN it was included - no tracks at all. But it's there in plain black and white.

Since the majority of the contributions from the big pharmaceutical companys have gone to the Republicans I can come to no other conclusion but that this item was a political payoff - and it really pisses me off. Personally, I want an investigation, I want to know how introduced this legislation and how it was made into law and I want the responsible parties ejected from Congress when they are up for re-election.

Oh, and by the way, as long as garbage like this ends up in so-called terrorism bills we will never be safe from terrorism. It's just more smoke and mirrors in my opinion. And I don't like the new powers granted to that nut Poindexter either.

? for you. How can the people of your state continue to re-elect the most vociferous opponent to campaign finance reform, Mr. First Amendment himself, Mitch McConnell. I have never seen a more corrupt, two-faced, individual in my life.

By the way, I have heard from several sources the the Honorable Senator McConnel seems to appreciate the close companionship of young males (not that theres anything wrong with that). Seems rather hypocritical that this right wing pig from the bible belt is gay.

By the way, I know this is not the most popular thing to post or say, then again, I generally don't post unless I disagree with someones opinion or want to post another avenue of thought, strong passionate patriotism has gotten more people killed and more countries into wars than anything except......dare I say........organized religion.

Don't wave your flag in my front yard. I'd rather be look at both the good and bad this country does than do a James Cagney down Fifth Avenue. I'll get behind the president when its deserved not when he's doing an impersonation of Dr. Strangelove.

Dear Ed,

Just to let you know our JACKASS Prime Minister (behind closed doors) forced that individual who said Bush was a "MORON" to resign. But wait, news reports indicate that it was on their own terms?
Who are they trying to fool?

TTM$, the insider.

Happy Thanksgiving to my friendly neighbors

Too bad he was forced to resign. But then again, honesty, intelligence, awareness and being astute have no place in politics.

What do you guys celebrate up North similar to Thanksgiving? Je me souviens.

How are you doing my fine friend. I learned a long time ago to not discuss politics or religion.

Can't resist this subject though. The above posts came from some very astute individuals. I'll let them carry the ball.

Will leave you all with one thought: I hope our offshore books have enough money to buy off a few people, or internet sports wagering will be over by baseball season. Or is this manipulation by our own country's gambling lobby to make sure Las Vegas casinos will win control of internet gambling?

I can't honestly tell you, but that is the way I'm leaning.

Just talking out loud, having been around the block once or twice.

You bring up a good point. The GOP (Grand Old Pricks) have control of the white house, senate, house, and the supreme court. They further have control of the governorship, legislature, and judiciary in my home state and the future home state of the national champions (in about six weeks).

Yet, this political party of supposedly less government, is probably going to do away with internet and off-shore gambling. Although I do not know for sure, but I'll bet you a dime to a dollar (10-1 for you youngins) that such private and free enterprise will give way to the gambling lobby whom I'm sure have dumped tons of my former dollars to Bush, Lott, McConnel, Delay and other republican scum.

They've done the same thing by taking the right to a jury trial away from individuals, imposing caps on recovery, in favor of corporate, insurance and medical lobbiests all due to an invented and well- orchestrated litigation crisis. Although I don't gamble any longer, I think this administrations' probable restriction on gaming, under the guise of the "...moral thing to do..." is wrong and a further evaporation of individual rights.

The Republicans play the "morals" card but in reality there paying back big political contributions from the domestic gaming lobby. Just another example boys of the hypocrisy of this administration. scott if you want to wave your flag behind these guys its up to you. I'll pass.

A great topic we got going here....

The Republican Party, since its first convention in Michigan in 1854, has had a philosophy that has remained relatively unchanged. Its oath entices Americans to believe that "good government is based on the individual and that each person's ability, dignity, freedom and responsibility must be honored and recognized".

Am I correct Ed in stating that you disagree with the above statement? Or do you agree?

Thanks

Never heard McConnell was gay and don't believe it now. The democrats fielded Lois Weinberg to run against McConnell, so they obviously didn't want to win. Her father was a governor many years ago, and she is rich. Those were her 2 qualifications. McConnell had one of the best campaign ads of all time against her. Showed her raising her nose and laughing while it pointed out how the gas companies she owned were tripling and quadrupling prices a few years ago.

McConnell is one of the most powerful republicans, that's why a lot of Kentuckians voted for him. He doesn't forget where he came from ;)

All the name calling doesn't really hurt us right winger, religious right, Second Ammendment fanatics either, Eduardo. I know this was meant in jest "Too bad Mexico didn't win that war bout 150 years ago. Adios muchachos", but I still thought it was rather classless.

I would say there's nothing middle about u, Eddie. U sound very left to me, not that there's anything wrong with that :D If only ALGORE was in office now, I'm sure we would have never been attacked on 9/11, the stock market would be at 14,000, unemployment would have been 0.9%, and the hole in the Ozone would have filled in

Hell Time:

I have a hard enough time reading those Keebec license plates driving up I-75 after a few beers let alone get the spelling right. You Hosers keep on using our wonderful interstate system, without paying any taxes, to tan those plump, white, northern fat-ass bodies of yours on our sunny Florida beaches.

By the way, do you know Shania Twain? Timmins, Ontario? Saw her on tv again last night with that cute puke Katie Curic. I guess she's coming out of her several year hiatus. Thats one Hoser I would crawl naked over a mile of broken glass to finger **** her shadow.

Eddie - Well I could have figured that when the time came to step up to the plate and dance that you Haskell would be the first to pass.

KC

Come on there is no way in hell that internet gambling is going away. There is way too much money in this. The big problem is Vegas and NJ are pissed they cant do it. They are going to do anything spend anything to see that they get this pie plate and as soon as possible. The gov may have to put a stop to off shore stuff so it will look legit when Vegas gets set up to take internet wagers. Hell I would much rather do it thru Vegas as I think we all would.

Gambling is here to stay fellows. We aint going no where. And as a famous quote from Nolan Dalla once said.....at least I think it was Nolan........ there is safety in numbers. And if you dont vote you dont count.

Ed,

In all seriousness, you did a good job with the french as it was dead on... Je me souviens ( I WANT TO KNOW )

Shania Twain... Now that is a nice northern fat-ass darling we have up here... word has it she took the year off to recover from an illness, but she is denying that.

Ed, do you hate Canadians? Do you think that all Canadians are white and fat?

If you do, come up to Toronto some time and I'll show you what white fat ass women look like up here;)

Better than Shania Twain!:)

maybe you should make sure your not behind the
Honorable Senator McConnel. That might further your career choices.
