But for, Bush/Cheney/Rove funded, clandestine and under the radar, personal attacks on Kerry, I wouldn't care about the above. Just seems like the right threw the first stones and they should get this back. None of either Bush or Kerry's personal past should be determinative in this election. However, knowing the depth and acumen of the Jessica Simpson/American Idol like electorate, it may very well be.

freeze, I find it quite the contrary, I doubt you could find 2 families with more change documents, expunged records etc. anywhere in the country. Last I checked dwi wasn't a traffic violation, and people get killed that way. Bringing Honor and dignity to the white house LoL, along with that new record 400 billion dollar deficit, only up 22% from last year. This guy can't control his own Family never mind the country.

freeze I agree, its not contained to the bushes, but nobody else has the privilege of covering things up like the bushes. I'm quite sure the average citizen has no clue about his dwi, cocaine arrest, Family History with Kenneth lay, National guard truth etc. etc. for God sakes he is the only convicted criminal to enter the office of President. What if the abortion story of 71' wasn't sanitized and removed from CNN archives, where would he be then. Imagine all those religious conservatives faces then LoL.

i dont think having a history with Lay has anything to do with anything.....almost anyone who lives in Texas worth anything has had dealings with Lay....so whatever insinuations you are making are ridiculous

Bush admits he was wild when he was young...hey a lot of people are....cant just hold it against them forever can you?

i dunno...maybe you can.....but if you can i sure dont want anything to do with you

now if Bush were up there at the RNC telling us what an outstanding citizen he has always been, i would say we have a problem

What? Are you serious? You have this many charges in your extended family?? Holy crap man.

  • I'm no angel, but I have never been arrested for anything.
  • Nor has my mother or my father.
  • Both my parents have re-married. Neither my step-father nor my step-mother has a criminal record.
  • None of my four grandparents was ever arrested.
  • None of my six sisters/step-sisters was ever arrested.
  • My one step-brother DOES have two DWI's (ok, so we are not perfect).
  • Of my 12 nephews and nieces, one has a minor drug possession charge to his name.
  • I have one uncle and one aunt...three cousins, all married. None of them, to my knowledge, has a criminal record.

So that's 36 people in my extended family, and a total of 3 criminal charges.

Ok, that's one family down... :D

Make that 41 people, 3 charges. Damn I never realized we were so squeaky clean.

Dr., that's like saying everyone in Massachusetts worth anything has had dealings with Kennedys, or the guy that owns Gillette. First off these are not peripheral dealings, lay & gw were much more than superficial acquaintances. Lay has financed gw on more than 1 occasion. He also has perpetrated the biggest stock fraud in the history of the nation, that says something about his character & the bushes. And didn't gw run on bringing Honor & dignity & Family values back to the White house. Hell people are saying Kerry deserves to get taken to task regarding Vietnam because he makes it a issue in his campaign. Isn't personal character history pertinent. Obviously it is or so much time wouldn't have been spent cleansing & making his PUBLIC RECORDS DISAPPEAR.

this could simply be chalked up as yet another story of corporate greed run amok, until the umbilical political and financial connections between Bush and Enron are illuminated. Enron's capo, Kenneth Lay, was perhaps the best financial friend George W. Bush has ever known. Lay and a number of Enron employees essentially bankrolled Bush's 2000 Presidential campaign, going so far as to lend Bush an Enron corporate jet for trips between whistle stops. Before Bush got White House stars in his eyes, he worked very closely with Enron on energy policy in Texas.

This close connection led to the Bush administration's hiring of a number of influential individuals within Enron's orbit for important government positions:

- Thomas E. White, Bush's Secretary of the Army, was once Vice-Chairman of Enron Energy Service, and held millions in Enron stock;

- Presidential Advisor Karl Rove owned as much as $250,000 in Enron stock;

- Economic adviser Larry Lindsay leapt straight from Enron to his current White House job;

- Federal Trade Representative Robert B. Zoellick did the same;

- SEC Chairman Harvey Pitts was hand-picked by Kenneth Lay for the position, due to his notorious aversion to governmental regulation of any kind.

There are some thirty one Bush administration officials who had a line item for Enron in their stock portfolio, including Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. It is fair to say that the woebegone corporation held, and continues to hold, enormous influence over the day-to-day machinations of Federal government policy. One wonders if Bush's recent gutting of the Clean Air Act, a decision designed to improve the fortunes of companies like Enron, was the brainchild of people with deep connections to the energy industry.

The trail of influence left by Enron leads also to the scabrous heart ventricles of Vice President Dick Cheney, who admitted recently to six separate meetings with Enron executives while formulating the Bush administration's energy policy. Cheney, a former executive of the Halliburton Petroleum interest, was in charge of creating this policy. For reasons soon to be exposed by subpoena, Cheney refused to detail the specifics of the creation of this policy, which included the multiple Enron meetings.

The General Accounting Office was preparing to sue Cheney to reveal this information when the September 11th attacks took place. Those subpoenas may be dusted off and mailed within a month. In the meantime, the Justice Department is preparing a serious criminal investigation into the collapse of Enron. The Democratically-controlled Senate is planning hearings on the matter as well. Columnist Robert Scheer has referred to the Bush administration's involvement in the Enron debacle as "Whitewater in spades." One wonders if "Watergate" would be a more appropriate comparison.

Bush's

When did Bush get arrested for cocaine? Cheney's three DWI's help explain many of his irrational comments. The years of abuse of alcohol by Cheney have killed alot of brain cells this might explain why he is the only person in the world still claiming Iraq had WMD's!
