Bush = Tough talking president

stevie...glad everything I did wrong doesn't follow me around the rest of my life...otherwise it would be Dr. Freeze...liar, cheater, stealer, etc. etc. everytime someone addressed me...

I guess for you though, you are able to label people like this in your cynicism because you never make mistakes....

We are bigger, better, stronger, faster, smarter, and everything else compared to the rest of the world....and if those terrorists want a piece of us....GAME ON!!!

So Freeze, is this how you felt on 9/11??? Just curious, because they "brought it on" for sure that day. I'm sure the families of those 3,000 feel the same way you do....

I figured you'd say something like that. Sorry man, but there are no rules with hate. Fair or not fair, inviting people to "bring it on" says by any means necessary. There are no rules.

I hate these people as much as you do. But that idiot in the White House just gave more motivation. He's a disgrace to this country.

more motivation to confront us face to face

these people are going to do their evil terrorist acts without regards to what we say...it is more than that...you don't try to pacify a terrorist...or it just get worst because you have reinforced/rewarded that behavior....you quench it and go after it...plain and simple

zero tolerance, pounce on them before they pounce on you again...not a disgrace, but a necessary way of doing business in these times

no one likes to have to sacrifice more lives, but that is how we must conduct business in this day and age

Face to face is a joke. They will NEVER DO THAT. I'm not even saying I disagree with the zero tolerance theory, but what Bush said did nothing - NOTHING - but provide more motivation. I mean, come on, these people that hate us ARE NOT going to engage in a war. They're going to take a suicide bomb into a football stadium to take out as many people as they can. No matter how you look at it, that was a straight-up stupid thing to say.

again i disagree....these people think we are weak and have no resolve...

that is where they are wrong....they are going to learn that we are strong and have LOTS of resolve...and Bush is demonstrating that with his words and action...although i think we need lots more troops in Iraq AND afghanistan right now and should pull out most of our troops from everywhere else to focus on these two fronts...

Well, IMO, I don't think what Bush said is a hugh deal. I think that maybe he was trying to get some American's to rally behind him. If you remember the plane that went down in Penn. The young man on the plane said "Let's Roll" and that saying kinda stuck and was perhaps a little motivational for American's and I think that bush was just trying to pick our moral up a bit. With American soldiers dying everyday in a different country America needs something right now.

I have a 21year old nephew over there and it breaks my heart everyday that he isn't here. I just think our boys and girls should come home or we should kick azz one or the other. I just wish that there was a softer, gentler way.

Miss Melissa

BTW ~ great thread

bjd13 what needs to be done. Wars over were just doing a little clean up work. We need to do this clean up work. Why? Our soldiers are better then clean up work. There better then target practice for all these idots. You dont tell idots to bring it.

If I am playing basketball, football, or any sport....do I want my team captain to say "lets all be nice and make peace with those guys who just bent us over last time we played"....or do I want a captain...A LEADER!!! who says "bring your noise"!!!!????

But do we really want our captain...leader saying this when he himself was'nt willing to get in the game himself?????

I dont remember seeing GW in any kind of military service.......

again i disagree....these people think we are weak and have no resolve...

You know to be honest, I could give a shit if they think we are weak and have no resolve, as long as they are'nt a threat to the US, they can think what ever they want.

I wish that you would quit with the blathering.

Damn right we are taking losses. This is still a war. The plan has to be finished we have gone too far now. "There is no crying in baseball."

Compare how many of their people have died. maybe several million in bombing alone.

You think I want our guys dieing in Iraq hell no ! I want them home. But the mission is not done.

We have to be with them in heart and spirit. Our President made a commitment to get rid of a evil dictator. We have to stand behind our Goverment now that Saddam is gone.

Things will work out eventually. The Iraq people have tasted freedom. Music, shows, markets open, etc. There is no turning back.

We will find Saddam and his sons. It would be so easy for him to have a front in a building like a store in Tikret and have a living area in the back. His relatives run it and no one knows nothing. If anything is said big trouble for them.

Information will bring him down. 25 million is nice money for someone. I wonder if they would ever collect that money.

KOD

The Iraq people have seen a glimpse of freedom. There is no turning back now.

you don't care if they dont think we have resolve???

uhhh...you better start caring!!! THAT is what the world will listen to...they do NOT listen to weakness....they LISTEN to strength and resolve

Terrorists only work if we are pussies....if we get up and fight back with magnified strength, then their terror is a long term loser

as far as Bush not serving in the military....i didn't know that was a qualification for being President

as far as being thankful about what Gore might have done...i don't know....Gore might have been just as good as Bush...after all he was a bit of a hawk at one time in Congress.....all I know is I am glad Clinton was not there....he would have pissed his pants
