CTG I believe you can call Clinton a moderate. His reform of the wellfair program was very good idea. To just hand out money was not the answer. And that was done for years and years. His tax breaks for the middle class helped us. And didn't hurt the rich that bad. They still were up in wealth 45% by the time he left office.
And his idea for the enviroment was not all bad. Look were you live. Im sure you want it to stay as nice or even better then it is now.
As for this court haveing anything to do with our soldiers. Not a good idea period.

well its easy to vote for him after looking at Kerry and his ideology

I agree with that statement, it's amazing that the Democrats are so frigging stupid, the Republicans are lobbing them a softball this November and the best they can come up with is Kerry.

I will hold my vote this November, there are no winners here.

DTB you know the wellfair and tax cuts were done before dems lost control of the house in 94. In fact Gore had to break the 50/50 tie in the Senate. After that it got real slow in what got passed. Almost like now. Many Reb's fighting with Bush over bills. He just spends to much money. However this last well fair program for business was just a give away. I cant believe a businees plan without incentives to Keep jobs here. Thats a dam shame.

Spag you are a piece of work. If anyone has the soldiers throwing away their medals it will be Bush who sent them on an unecessary mission much like Vietnam.

DJV Believe the welfare reform was passed in Aug of 96 if I'm not mistaken--and could you clarify which tax cuts if any Clinton had.
I know he and Gore cashed in on reagans tax cuts.

Not sure who to credit for this quote-----

"How can we be sure the economic boom presided over by Clinton was actually due to Reagan? It's simple. Even though Clinton increased tax rates, the top rate after his tax hikes was still less than 40%, down a full 30% from the 70% rate before Reagan's tax cuts. In terms of the money left after taxes, that's a huge jump from (100-70=) 30% to (100-40=) 60% -- a doubling of the amount of money that continues, year after year, to go into the private economy rather than the federal budget. It hardly takes an economist to understand the huge effect on economic growth of doubling after-tax income."

in addition was this the tie breaker you were referring to on Gore.

"Fact: In 1992, the Clinton-Gore campaign said it "includes $104 billion in tax cuts over four years for the middle class, the working poor, and corporations that make smart investments to create jobs." But after taking office, Gore cast the tie breaking vote on the largest tax increase in U.S. history, including $115 billion in higher personal income taxes, $31 billion in higher gasoline taxes, $25 billion in higher taxes on Social Security benefits, and $29 billion in more Medicare taxes. (Congressional Budget Office) "

CTG you might want to check out this site to get a little history on the Bay of Pigs. It is not long and a very easy read. Basic US History actually.

Here is what I figure what will happen if Bush agrees to the world court...Someone in our military will mess up and they will be punished thru the UCMJ..Some bullshit country will complain that the price they had to pay for there misdeed isnt high enough so they will push for them to be tried again thru the World Court...I believe that whoever is president at the time will look at the poll numbers and then decide if that person should be thrown to the wolfs. It is really sorry that our politics is this way but it is a fact. They all (Democrat and Republican) only do what they think will get them more votes instead of what is right...which is wrong because they never get the full picture becaue less than 50% vote and the ones that dont vote are pissed at politicians because they figure they will get screwed no matter who they vote for. And you know what??? They are right.

Me personally I vote all the time because I figure that I have no right to bitch and complain if I dont cast a vote.
