uhhh no.....the tactic is:"weasel,i don`t understand"...or,:"weasel,i don`t get it".....which in your case is a viable,believable position.....
in a nutshell...so even you can grasp it....when the u.s. supported strongmen and police states (like the shah and musharraf and noriega), leftists around the world condemned us for propping up repressive regimes(see carter).....
now, when the u.s. overthrows a strongman, and the inevitable internecine violence erupts that the dictator had formerly been suppressing, leftists around the world once again condemn the u.s. for unleashing anarchy(see murtha,lerch and harry reid) .....
which only goes to prove: you just can't win with leftists....heads they win, tails you lose.....
the truth is, they will criticize the u.s. and other capitalist nations no matter what action we take or don't take.....
there are violent, aggressive bad people and societies in this world......they've been that way forever -- they weren't created by america or colonialism or what-have-you.....
if you let them run wild, they usually massacre each other in endless civil strife....or reek havoc in their respective region(see saddam)....if you crack down on them, you end up with a totalitarian society.......
that's the real world......not the absurd utopian fantasy world of the left.....
the u.s. can only do its best and move on....
which is what we are trying to do in iraq...with one hand tied behind our backs...and the 5th column at home doing what they have done since 1968.....
