djv, I appreciate your point of view from an economic position. You are right on all accounts but if you go through history, during every major slowdown in our economy, government has dramatically increased spending as a way to get the economy moving. Our money supply has gone way up which will lead to inflation of some sort which will cause us to raise interest rates to decrease borrowing, thus spending. A dollar today is not worth what it was so the defecit spending will always be bigger today, but even larger in the future, regardless of which political party is running the country.
