Evidently W's nomination for deputy attorney general has a few skeletons in his closet. Unfortunately, this seems the norm in this day and age. Evidently Timothy Flanigan was deeply involved in lobbying efforts as a supervisor. He supervised Jack Abramoff who is linked to strong efforts to block the Corporate Patriot Enforcement Act as well as numerous actions to benefit Tyco, where Flanigan is chief counsel. There is more to this, but it appears to me to be just another arrogant move by the Bush administration. Either it is that or they are so stupid that they didn't think this would come out. This is a subject worth reading about.

Secondly, and I realize this is business as usual, but in an effort to get his trade pact approved, Bush made a phone call Alabama Representative Robert Aderholt asking for his support of the pact. Lo and behold after a skeptical Aderholt became a believer and said he would support the pact, he received a letter from the commerce secretary and U.S. Trade Representative promising that they would make efforts to protect sock manufacturers and poulty producers in Aderholt's district.

Yes, this is probably business as usual; and yes, it has been practiced by every party in power since the beginning of time. But that doesn't make it right and Bush seems to be pushing the button more than most. Arrogance.

There is way to much stretching of the truth by these guys. Most do, or try to do it. But these guys are pro's. Starting with Karl R. He's a bold face liar.
