I have a sweet middle if washington wins by 3. Cleve. goes for two and gets it. when is the last time you saw a NFL coach go for two instead of one, when you would be with in a field goal with the extra point in the last minute.

Hate to burst your bubble, dork-- but the pre-season is for nothing other than getting your team ready for the regular season.

Seeing what works and what doesn't-- finding the best 53 players you have for the regular season--
AND working on things like going for two when if you miss it, it means NOTHING.....

Totally agree with redsfann-gotta take some bad losses if you are going to bet pre-season. Alot of coaches could REALLY care less about winning. Judging talent may mean some "weird" decisions.
But-name calling not necessary.

Can you say FIXED that is really amazing down by 4 and you go for 2 if this doesn't point to a fix job nothing will. I don't care if it is preseason or not every coach wants to put themselves in a position to at least tie the game and a miss ends it for them. UNBELIEVABLE what a FIX job.

I had Wash -2.5 and -3. The decision blew some parlays for me. But I can't see anything irrational about his decision.

I cant even believe the stuff being said in this thread. How can the game be fixed? Would they purposely throw a INT and have Wash return for a TD only to let another TD score and go for a two point conversion? Redsfan nailed it on the head. This IS preseason, no one really cares. Its only to test players and test situations. If you cant handle losing because of the games then you shoudln't bet preseason...

I know preseason games are different, in fact I can't believe they have overtime in preseason, and don't think they should. sorry if I came across as whining I have had worse beats than that and never blinked. I was just venting as I see others do here all the time. I will keep them to myself in the future.

Very interesting posts...I owuld have to agree that the coaches are evaluating talent etc. But I would also argue, that to see more of their own players, which is the objective of preseason, it would have been smarter to kick the extra point and go for the extra period. (Really the only option, with the amount of time left, unless your the Dolphins

)

This then also, brings up a pressure situation for your team and the backups.

That's what I would have done anyways.

Teddy KGB... Thanks for the kind words, I probably would not have even brought this up tonight, because I take preseason as it is and just play around with it. Last night I played a three team moneyline parlay on all three dogs, which would have paid 34-1. I watched K.C. blow it when they could not get in from the one inch line on 3rd and 4th down. I was just venting and I am usually the last one you will hear whining about a bad beat. I hope everyone has a good year, and we can all beat the man.
