I still don't understand why people were so high on BYU in this game. Am I the only one who thinks BYU was incredibly overrated this year? 10 wins, yes, but against who? The Mountain West isn't really a legit conference. And they lost by TEN points to UCLA earlier in the year.

People were down on UCLA all year long, but they conveniently leave out the fact that UCLA was decimated by injuries. I think a healthy UCLA team wins 8 or 9 games this year. And if these two teams played each other at 100% health, I'd be willing to bet UCLA would win a lot more times than they would lose.

You are absolutely correct...........they have played twice now this year and UCLA should have won both.....:142smilie

I wasnt down on UCLA 'all year long' but it seems nucking futs to bet on a team in a bowl who IS down to their 4th string QB who didnt complete a pass until :30 seconds left in the 1st half.

In the end, the spread was covered in major part to a bonehead worthless handoff with less than :20 seconds left in the 1H. It changed the whole course of the game.

Oh well, on to the next bowls and the NFL...

Oh don't get me wrong, I know their QB situation is a mess. When you're down to your 3rd and 4th stringers, it's always ugly. I guess I'm just missing why there's so much love for BYU going into this game?

I may be in the minority but I really don't think they're much better, if at all, than UCLA. And even though UCLA's QB situation was what it was, for BYU to be laying almost a TD on a neutral field seemed very high to me.

GL with your bowl games...
