I went to bed before this game started. I just woke up to see if I hit my middle. I had an 8 team parlay alive and needed BYU on the money line. Before I went to bed, I decided to bet back with SDST +11 for what I thought was a decent shot at a middle. To wake up to see that SDST forced OT and then to lose by 14 just about makes me want to puke. Luckily I didn't stay up to watch this game, or I might have puked last night. I had a shot at a nice gob. Instead, I end up winning $20. WOOPIE!!!
I did hit all of my straight plays though, so I can't complain too much.
Thanks to all of the guys who I coattailed with New Mexico, TCU, & Elon. I went against the trend and got lucky with Pitt.
Speaking of middles - I hardly ever play the NBA, so my former local bookie normally didn't give me the lines. One night, for some reason, he gave me the NBA lines and I wrote them down. I checked my offshore lines against them and found a 17 point difference in one of the totals. I called him back to double check his line and he repeated it the same way. He had a limit of $1000 on plays, so, needless to say, I made the play. The game came in right in the middle. It was the easiest $2k I've ever made. I checked all of his lines after that. Unfortunately, that was the only major discrepancy I ever found.
